Entry fees are: Singles: First Event (Including Star 5) Secnd Event $110.00 per skater $60.00 per skater Star 1,2, 3 and 4 $85.00 per skater Any tw part events, the secnd part, the FREE PROGRAM will be skated in reverse rder Of the placings f the SHORT. A separate entry frm must be used fr each event entered (please phtcpy the ne attached t this annuncement). Hme Club Representative must sign the entry frm. Shuld this cmpetitin be cancelled fr any reasn, an administratin fee will be charged ($15.00) and deducted frm the returning entry fees. MEDALS Medals will be awarded t first, secnd and third place winners, fr Pre Juvenile t Senir cmpetitive categries, STAR 5 (frmerly Junir Brnze), t Free Skate categries, and Brnze t Interpretive. In STAR 1 t 4 categries, and pre intr interpretive and intr interpretive, certificates and ribbns will be presented t all skaters. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS A tentative Schedule f Events will be sent t each cmpetitr as the frmal receipt and acknwledgment f entry. CONDUCT OF COMPETITORS (Rule 7301(5)) Cmpetitrs are bund t bey implicitly the instructins f the fficials in charge f the cmpetitin. A cmpetitr, wh directly r indirectly expresses her/himself in an imprper manner regarding the fficials r their decisins, r regarding the marking f the judges, may be suspended and/r excluded frm further cmpetitin. MUSIC All music used must be in the public dmain r cvered by the Perfrming Rights Sciety. Music Requirements at Cmpetitins 2015-2016 CD s will be the ONLY frmat used at NS cmpetitins fr the 2015-2016 skating seasn; cassette tapes will nt be accepted. 4
GENERAL MUSIC Each cmpact disc shall be a standard CD-R cmpact disc and enclsed in a single transparent plastic CD case. (DO NOT use CD-RW) Music n CD must be in wav frmat. (NOT mp3, itunes r DVD frmat) Skaters shuld keep a CD in a safe place fr use at COMPETITIONS ONLY. Each skater shall register 2 cpies f each prgram, ne marked MASTER and the ther marked BACK UP. (Recmmendatin: Each skater t carry anther cpy f his r her music at rink side.) LABELING: CD's and their cases must have the fllwing clearly printed: Skater s name categry name ttal music time (nt skating time) Hme Club Label shuld be n the CD case back insert ONLY. CD must be visible in frnt f case. Identify CD by writing n frnt using a permanent marker. D nt use ballpint pen. (Use f a fine r medium pint Sharpie is OK) DO NOT write n recrded side f CD DO NOT apply STICK ON Labels t CD. The music infrmatin as required n the Entry Frm must be cmpleted in detail (as applicable). RECORDING SPECIFICATIONS Only ne prgram (using ne track nly) shall be recrded n each CD. Music shall be recrded n CD s that it starts within nt less than 0.25 secnd and nt mre than 0.5 secnd after PLAY buttn is pressed n CD player Music shall be recrded at equal levels n bth left and right channels in stere Music recrding levels shall be a maximum f OVU and a minimum f -8VU ** Please nte that after a skaters name is annunced, they have NO lnger than 30 secnds t begin their prgram. COACHES ACCREDITATION Caches must be a minimum f NCCP level 1 Certified and must meet the fllwing accreditatin standards: - be a current Prfessinal Caching Member f Skate Canada - hld a valid First Aid Certificate It is mandatry fr all participating caches t register at the cmpetitin and shw their accreditatin at all times during the cmpetitin in rder t be at ice level during the events. Temprary accreditatin will be issued fr $25.00 upn presentatin f current Skate Canada membership and First Aid infrmatin. All such Fully Certified Caches must ensure that they have their Skate Canada Cach Card n them at all times during the cmpetitin. INTERPRETIVE EVENTS - Cstumes shuld be tastefully selected t enhance the md f the prgram. - Prps are nt allwed. As a further guideline t caches and judges, a prp is defined as any item which is: - nt attached t the cstume; - held in the hand f the skater; - intentinally remved frm the cstume at sme pint during the perfrmance; r culd, in any way, be injurius t the skater. T be safe, if there is any dubt abut the use f a prp, the answer is NO! - Any type f music may be used fr Interpretative prgrams. - The skater must include the title f the prgram n entry frm. - Music CDs must be clearly marked with the skater s name and title f the prgram. All Cmpetitive, STAR 5, Senir Brnze t Free Skate, Brnze t Interpretive and Adult categries will be accunted using the CPC/CSS methd. STAR 1 t 4, Pre Intr Interpretive and Intr Interpretive will be assessed t standard. Events will be started n mre than 30 minutes early.
