The overwhelming success of Concours 2017 has invigorated us to continue evolving and expanding this event to the next level this year Concours 2018 will be the 10 th national level sports fest of Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar. Scheduled from 25 th -28 th October Concours 18 has competition in 9 major sport events alongside a large bunch of fun events. Since its inception, Concours has been on the rise, shattering its own set previous records, both with respect to participation and healthy competition. Every year we have around 35+ colleges participating from all over India. Concours has been graced by the presence of R.P Singh(2017), Munaf Patel (World cup winning Indian pace bowler) and Harmeet Desai (Table Tennis silver medalist at Commonwealth Games 2013) in its previous editions. With the last edition of Concours witnessing 5000+ participants, we promise this time Concours is going to be bigger than ever.

BADMINTON Rules and Regulations FOR BOYS: The registration fees for the same: INR 1,600/- (per team) 1. Team events to be conducted. 2. At least 4 players required and maximum 7. 3. Teams having less than 4 players will be disqualified. 4. The sequence of a team game is as follows: Each match is best of three games, 21 points each. 1st match: 1st singles 2nd match: 2nd singles 3rd match: First Doubles 4th match: Third Singles (if required) 5rd match: Second Doubles (if required) 5. BASKETBALL Rules and Regulations for boys and girls The registration fees for the same: For boys- INR 1,600/- (per team) For girls- INR 1,100/- (per team) 1. FIBA rules applicable. 2. 10 minutes each quarter with 2 minute break between the quarters and 5 minutes at half time (unless otherwise stated). 3. Teams should report to the basketball court 15 minutes before their match. 4. All the players of the team should have same colour of jersey with printed numbers. 5. Use of abusive or foul language during the play can lead to technical fouls or expulsion depending on the referee and the organizing committee. 6. No players should have anything on his/her hand or neck (wrist watch, necklace, ring, kada, bracelet etc.) Jewellery of any kind is not allowed and nails have to be cut. 7. Maximum 12 players are allowed in a team. 8. The decision of the referees will be considered as final and the organizing committee has the right to disqualify a team. Mixed team is allowed but isn t compulsory. 3. Team Size 4 members. 4. Teams should report 15 minutes before the scheduled time. If a team is late by more than 5 minutes then the other team will be declared as the winner. 5. In case of any conflict, the decision of the organizing committee shall be final and binding. 6. The participants will be given rules before the start of the tournament. 7. Participants can use only one hand and cannot change hand during the game. CHESS Rules and Regulations The registration fees for the same: INR 1,100/- (per team) 1. Team size for the tournament is 5, wherein 4 players will be playing and 1 extra. 2. All the team members must belong to the same Institute. 4 players play against the 4 players of their opponent team simultaneously. 3. The clock will be used after an hour if need arises and 15 minutes+5 seconds increment will be given to each player. 4. If a player from Team A wins against a player from Team B, then the player gets 1 point for the team and if they end in a draw, both the players get 0.5 points for their team, to be added into the round points of the team. 5. After each round, the maximum score a team could score is 4. And to win the particular round, Team must score greater than 2 points. If they score exactly 2 points, it would be a draw. 6. After completion of all pool matches, top teams will be selected based on number of round points and in case of draw in round points, board points will be taken in consideration. If there are still further draws, the teams having draws will play a blitz match with 3 players playing from each side. 7. The decision of the referees will be considered as final and the organizing committee has the right to disqualify a team. CRICKET Rules and Regulations The registration fees for the same (ONLY for boys): INR 4,000/- (per team) 1. Each college team should have a squad consisting of a maximum of 16 players and each player should carry a valid college ID as well as latest paid college fee receipt. 2. Each game will be of 20 overs per innings and all the pool structure and the schedule of the matches will be informed by the event manager. (If the number of teams are more, some games might be reduced to 16 overs per innings in order to complete the games in time) 3. The matches will be played according to the Standard ICC rules of Twenty-20 cricket. 4. The umpire s decision regarding the anything during the match is final and bound. 5. The organisers have a right to disqualify a team from the tournament if any of its players misbehaves with people around even after warnings. 6. In case of heavy rain, decision taken by umpires will be considered as final. 7. Matches will be conducted with red balls provided by us. 8. If the opposition team makes a justified objection about the colour of the uniform of your side, you would be asked to change your uniform. Normal FIFA rules apply. 2. In case a team gets a walkover, it wins the match by a default 3-0 score line. 3. A player who receives a red card or two yellow cards in a match will be suspended for the ongoing match as well as next match. 4. A player who picks up yellow cards in two different matches will be automatically suspended for the next match. 5. No yellow cards will be carried into the semi-final and (or) final. 6. Regarding any off the field issues the decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding on all parties. 7. Any team or player found guilty of misconduct or violating the above rules may be disqualified. 8. For Boys, maximum number of players allowed per team is 18. For Girls, maximum number of players allowed per team is 14. A Minimum of 11 should register to participate. 9. For Boys, each team will be allowed to make a maximum of 3 substitutions per 7

This is a team event. 2. Each team should have minimum 2 and maximum 4 players. 3. Each team will have 2 single ties, followed by a double tie if required. 4. All the rounds will be a match of 1 proper set. (Race to 6 with a difference of two, a tiebreak at 6-all if required.) 5. TABLE TENNIS Rules and Regulations for boys and girls The registration fees for the same: For boys- INR 1,600/- (per team) For girls- INR 1,100/- (per team) 1. Maximum 4 players and minimum 3 players in a team (if the team consists of 4 players, then the 4th player will be considered as a substitute) 2. Each team match consists of five individual matches and shall end when one team has won a majority of the possible individual matches. 3. White clothing(t-shirt or shorts) are not allowed. 4. All the games except for finals and semi-finals will be a best of 3 set game, semi finals and finals would be best of 5 set game and each set of 11 points. 5. Before the start of the match, the team that won the toss shall choose to be either the ABC team or the XYZ team. The captain shall nominate the players who will play the singles matches. 6. After choosing ABC or XYZ team, the captain shall nominate players in position A, B, C or X, Y, Z. 7. Final decision on a point shall lie completely on match referee. 8. Official table tennis rules of International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will be followed. 9. The referee shall have power to disqualify a player from a match, a team match, an event or a competition for seriously unfair or offensive behavior. 10. The team will be considered as withdrawn from the team match, if it does not start the first match of a team match (walkover) or decides not to finish the team match. If a team withdraws from a team match, the team match will be won 3-0 by the opponent. 9

All league matches will be of 3 sets. In the case of a 1-1 tie, the deciding 3rd set is played to 15 points. Semifinals and final will be of 5 sets. In the case of a 2-2 tie, the deciding 5th set is played to 15 points. Rest of the sets would be of 25 points each. 2. A team that without any justifiable reason does not appear on the playing court on time will lose the chance of playing and the points will be awarded to the opponents. 3. The valid reason has to be put forward to the OFFICIALS OR JUDGES and their decision remains final. 4. However the team can continue participating in the competition. 5. Before the start of each set the coach or the captain would present the starting lineup of his/her team on a line up sheet. 6. Once the line-up sheet has been submitted no changes can be made without a regular substitution. 10

7. If two or more faults are committed successively only the first one is considered. 8. If faults are committed by both the teams simultaneously then the point becomes void i.e., it is a common point. 9. Total number of players 12 including the Libero. 10. Each team can request a maximum of 2 time-outs and 6 substitutions per set. 11. Rotation is compulsory. 12. There must be a completed rally between two separate substitution requests by the same team. 13. Time-out requests must be made by showing the corresponding hand signal, when the ball is out of play and before the whistle for service. 14. All requested time-outs last for 30 seconds. 15. Referee s decision would be the final decision. 16. Other international laws would be followed according to FIVB rules. Youth Run About: The Youth Run is one of the most unique aspects of this festival. It is a 7 km marathon in the city of Gandhinagar organized in an attempt to promote ideas that drive the youth of today, social and otherwise and show our support for the same. The Youth Run is a great display of what the youth is passionate about. Youth Run 2K18. The inspiration for the run is to provide the youth an opportunity to voice their opinions on issues that are close to the society, while keeping their health at the center. Rules and Regulations It is a 7 km marathon in the city of Gandhinagar starting from DA-IICT s gate till GH3 and back. It is an individual event.
