The championship word that he spelled was jai alai, which means a ball game played on a large walled court by two or four players who wear long curved wicker baskets strapped to their wrists. Emma Stokes was the runner-up. Colby will compete in the Scripps County Spelling Bee at Grayson College on February 3rd. We are so proud of all of our 4th -8th grade class winners who participated in the school spelling bee.
