Every manger will receive an envelope with: competition numbers for each competitor, identity badges for each competitor, coach, and official from their team. It is not necessary to bring the competitors. Only the coach or manager of each team. Note: no photographers are permitted by anyone other than those authorised by the Chief referee, applications to colin.putt@skdun.org before 1 st April. The Chief referee will issue these badges. NO EXCEPTIONS. All the teams who have competitors who are competing on Friday will need to register on Thursday, because without their competition numbers and identity badges, they will not be allowed into the sport hall! Checking the competitors weight for kumite categories will be before of the start of each category (tolerance + 1 kg, wearing the Do Gi)

Awards Individual events: - 1 st place Trophy, medal and diploma - 2 nd and 3 rd place medals and diploma (joint 3 rd place for kumite events) Team events: - 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd places Trophy, medals and diplomas for all team members. All participants will receive a certificate of participation. Deadline for registration by sportdata will be 01 April 2019. Competition fees Individual events 25 Euro per person per event Team events 45 Euro per team per event Note: Late registrations will be permitted at the organisers discretion. There will be an extra fee for any permitted registration after 01 April 2019: +10 Euro for individual events and +25 Euro for team events. 9 th SKDUN European Shotokan Karate Championship Brown and Black belts only (3 rd Kyu and above) RULES AND CATEGORIES MASTERS The final event on Sunday will be the prestigious Masters competition. Each country can nominate one Female and one Male competitor over 18 years of age that will compete in Kata and Kumite for the ultimate title of Grand Champion. This is a knockout competition, competitors compete against each other performing Kata then Shobu Ippon kumite, the competitors are judged against both performances, not necessarily about winning at either Kata or Kumite, judgement is by flag system (Kohaku Hoshiki).

Kata rules: All rounds by points system (Tensu hoshiki). Limit of participation: Max of 6 competitors per country per category (Exception: Children and Minicadets are alowed 10 competitors per country per category and Cadets: 8 competitors). The organising country can register one more competitor in each category. The competitors in each category will compete in the elimination rounds down to 8 competitors (two competitors at the same time, AKA / SHIRO). In semi-finals, these 8 competitors will perform Tokui kata (their choice from the approved list), then 4 competitors with the highest scores will perform a different Tokui kata in the final round (for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd medal place). In the case of a draw in the semi-final and final rounds, competitors must perform a different kata to the ones performed in all previous rounds. Jiyu Ippon Kumite rules: The criteria for judgment will be the same as for jiyu kumite, but no scores or penalties will be awarded during the match. The match will comprise of 6 attacks: jodan-zuki, chudan-zuki, mae-geri chudan, yoko-geri kekomi chudan, mawashi-geri chudan or jodan (must state the target), ushiro-geri chudan. The defender will block and counter using go-no-sen (any block and counter/counter combination). Each attack will be done by aka then shiro i.e. aka jodan-zuki, shiro blocks, then shiro jodan-zuki, aka blocks etc. The decision will be made by Hantei at the end of the match. SKDUN Kohai Cup Competition for kohai grades (9 th 4 th Kyu) RULES AND CATEGORIES Kata rules: Elimination rounds by flag system (kohaku hoshiki). The competitors in each category will compete in one elimination round down to 8 competitors (two competitors at the same time, AKA / SHIRO). Kata chosen by referee. In the case of draw, competitors must perform a different kata to the one performed in the previous round. Final round by point system (tensu hoshiki), the 8 competitors will perform Tokui kata (their choice from the approved list), top 3 scores will decide 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd medal place. No limit of participation. In the case of large number of participants in any category they may be divided into further categories by grade. These new categories will be announced at the event. KATA INDIVIDUAL The categories may be further divided in the case where there is a large number of participants. No limit of participation. Equivalent kyu grades: The colour of the belt has not been used because of the differences between countries/association. The kyu grade levels are in descending order, i.e. the highest number is the lowest grade. The criteria for decision will be the same as for Jiyu kumite, but no scores or penalties will be awarded during the match.
