General The Open d Andorra 2012 is an International Interclub Competition. It will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations. Organizer: Federació Andorrana d Esports de Gel Place: Palau de Gel de Canillo Crta. General, AD 100 Canillo (Principality of Andorra) www.palaudegel.ad Competition-ice-rink, 60m x 30m Date: 16-18 November 2012 Entries: Each ISU Member or Club may enter: Max. 10 skaters and may nominate 1 substitute for categories DEBS, Pre- Novice,2 nd Category, Novice Advanced, Junior and Senior. Max. 4 Pairs and 4 Ice Dancing Couples and may nominate 1 substitute per categories Novice Pairs, Junior Pairs, Senior Pairs, Junior Ice Dance, and Senior Ice Dance. Once the number of entries is closed, it will be decided if substitutes may be entered as well. The decision will be forwarded to the concerned Member or Club. The OC reserves the right to allow more than the allowed skaters from foreign Clubs. Entry fees: 60,00 for Single Skater and 70,00 for Pair or Ice Dancing Couple, the entry fee must be paid at accreditation upon arrival. The entry fee will be returned only the case the withdrawal of the athlete happens within the date of closing of the registration. Expenses of competitors: The OC will not cover any expenses for competitors, coaches and/or Team Leaders. Entries of Officials: Each participating ISU Member or Club is allowed to nominate a Judge with at least the qualification of National Judge. Ice Dancing judges will be accepted only if they have the qualification of Singles and Pairs as well. The acceptance of the entries of the judges will be communicated to all participating ISU Members and Clubs before 22nd October 2012. 2
Costs of Officials: The OC will cover accommodation and meals for all the participating Officials. Travel cost will be covered by the OC only for invited Referees, TC, TS and Judges. Time-Schedule: The competition will start on Friday 16 November and will be finished on Sunday, November 18. A detailed Time-Schedule will be sent to all participating ISU Members and Clubs after the deadline of entries. Accommodation: The Organizing Committee will make the room arrangements for Referees, TC, TS, officials and Judges only. Skaters, Coaches, Team Leaders and other Team members have to book their accommodation individually. Hotel reservations can be done at Official Hotel directly. Music: All Competitors shall furnish competition music of excellent quality on CD. All disks must show Competitors name, the Nation and the exact running time of the music, and must be submitted at the time of accreditation. Accreditation: The official accreditation will be at the Ice Rink. Accreditation will be given to all Competitors, Coaches, Officials, Team Leaders and other Team Members. Results: The calculation of results will be done according to ISU Judging System. Awards: The first three best placed competitors in each event will be awarded by Medals at the end of the competition. Liability: According to the rule 119 the Organizing Committee accepts no liability for bodily and personal injury, or for property loss or damage incurred by Competitors and Officials. Each ISU Member is expected to provide its own insurance protection. The O.C. will provide emergency medical services for all invited Officials and Competitors during the competition. 2. Pre-novice: No less than 10 years and no more than 13 before 1 st July of the current season. 2 nd Category: Minimum 14 years before 1 st July of the current season. 4
Pre-Novice Girls and Boys: SP a) Single Axel b) Double jump preceded by steps c) Combination of two double jumps or double + single,or single + double, diferent than the single jump. d) Camel Spin (without change of foot) 5 revolutions min. e) Spin combination with change of foot, the three basic positions (Sit, Camel and Upright or some variation there of) and minimum 5 revolutions on each foot. f) A sequence of steps, using all the superficies of ice. Short Program: 2'30'' Maximum The short program components in the Pre-Novice category is multiplied by the following factors: Skating Skills: 0.9 - Performance: 0.9 - Execution Interpretation: 0.9 Each fall will have a deduction of - 0.5 points on the total score. 18 In these category elements with Levels of difficulty, in the SP, can never get a higher level of 2. DEBS and Pre-Novice FP: A free Program for BEBS and Pre-Novice, (according with Communication ISU 1760 Basic Novice B) well balanced should include: - Maximum of 5 jump elements for girls and 6 for boys (one of which must be Axel type) There can be a maximum of 2 jump combinations or sequences. Combinations jumps can contain only 2 jumps. A jump sequence can contain any number of jumps, but only the most difficult jumps will be considered for the sum of points. Only two jumps of two revolutions and a half or more can be repeated in combination or sequence jumps. - There may be a maximum of 2 spins of a different nature, one of which will be a combination spin (minimum 10 revolutions in total) and one in a single position (minimum 6 revolutions in total) - There must be a maximum one (1) steps sequence. - In the Ladies during the program must have at some point a Spiral position at least three (3) seconds. This position will be called by the Technical Panel as "Choreographic Sequence not level" ChSq. The execution not grant direct additional points in the technical score and it will be considered as a transition, but the no execution of the Spiral position meant 0,5 points in total program score. The FP components in DEBS and Pre-Novice category are multiplied by the following factors: Girls: Skating Skills: 1.7 - Performance & Execution: 1.7 - Interpretation: 1.7 Boys: Skating Skills: 2.0 - Performance & Execution: 2.0 - Interpretation: 2.0 Each fall will have a deduction of 0.5 points on the total score.
