What s New in 2016 The 2016 Rotax Pro Tour National Series features many new elements and changes that will provide you - the Karter - with newer opportunities, greater competition, and a better racing experience. Here are some of the changes in summary: State Championships The New South Wales, Queensland, Victorian and South Australian State Championships will be decided at a single round as opposed to combining two rounds. The State Championship Rounds will be held at Ipswich (QLD), Bolivar (SA), Puckapunyal (VIC and Dubbo (NSW). Bonus Point Rounds Two rounds of the 2016 series will offer Bonus Point. The Bonus Point Rounds are Round 5 at Bolivar (SA) and the Rotax Pro Tour Grand Final at Dubbo (NSW). Junior Max Tyre Change Starting from Round 2 of the 2016 series, Junior Max will change from using the MOJO D2 Tyre to using the MOJO D1 Tyre. This brings Australia inline with the World Regulations. Junior Max B Final If Junior Max is over-subscribed, competitors who do not transfer through to the Pre-Final and Final after their Heat Races, will be given a B Final which will be contested on the Sunday morning of the event (providing the class is over-subscribed by a minimum of 8 competitors). DD2 Masters Age Drivers aged 31 years will now be eligible to compete in DD2 Masters, providing that they turn 32 by December 31, 2016. International Drivers Eligible In 2016, International Drivers will again become eligible to qualify for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals via Australia. This has been a decision made by BRP-Powertrain. Full Course Yellow 2016 will see the introduction of the Full Course Yellow procedure to the Rotax Pro Tour as per Karting Australia regulations. 2
What s New in 2016 School Holiday Rounds Four rounds of the 2016 Rotax Pro Tour will be held in School Holiday periods, which means the event will run to the normal 3 day format, allowing for a full day of practice on Friday for all competitors. Mini Max Prize In 2016, the leader of the Mini Max Class Series Points after Round 6 will win an invitation to compete in the Rotax US Open at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Rotax Heavy Prize In 2016, the leader of the Rotax Heavy Class Series Points after Round 6 will win an invitation to compete in the Rotax US Open at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Junior Max Trophy Class Prize After a successful 2015, once again the leader of the Intrepid Junior Max Trophy Class Series Points after Round 6 will win an invitation to compete in the Rotax US Open at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Registration How to Register All Drivers wishing to compete in the 2016 Rotax Pro Tour National Series must Register at www.rotax.com.au. Race numbers will be allocated on a first in first served basis. Please Note: Drivers ranked in the Top 20 of their category in 2015 will be given priority (in that category only) to apply for their race number for the 2016 season. 3

Prizes & Trophies Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals The 2016 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals have been confirmed and will be held at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno, Italy on 16th - 22nd October 2016. In 2016 Team Australia will field 11 Drivers at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals, with the tickets being allocated as follows: JUNIOR MAX - 1ST, 2ND, 3RD SENIOR MAX - 1ST, 2ND DD2-1ST, 2ND, 3RD DD2 MASTERS - 1ST, 2ND, 3RD Rotax US Open Las Vegas The invitations for the 2016 Rotax US Open held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas will be allocated as follows: MINI MAX - 1ST JUNIOR TROPHY - 1ST ROTAX HEAVY - 1ST Series Champions In 2016, the Top 3 placed drivers in the Series Points will be awarded with Trophies. Red Champions Plates In 2016, the winner of each class (excluding Intrepid Junior Max Trophy Class) will be awarded with the Red Number 1 Champions Plate. Round Trophies At each round, trophies will be awarded to the Top 5 place-getters of the Final in all 8 categories competing. 5
