Broadcasting Live Mrs. Hensley s fourth Grade class has been broadcasting weekly announcements from the library. We may have a few future news anchors on our hands! Their broadcasts have been posted on the Northwoods website, so take moment to checkout their great journalism work! Partnership Coordinator Corner ~ A Word from Mrs. Wiechert Hello Families, There are numerous sweatshirts, shoes, gloves and hats piling up in the lost and found. Several pairs of black snow-pants, a few lunch bags and even 2 pairs of glasses. The various articles take up THREE tables out side the library and fill a coat rack in the 1 st & 2 nd grade wing. On the last day of school (Carnival Day) we will be offering whatever is not claimed to whoever wants it on, a first come first serve basis. The leftovers from the free-for-all will be donated to the Community Closet at the Board Office. If you are in the building, please check out the lost and found areas to claim any items your kiddo may have left behind. Or, remind your child to take a look! As the need for layers upon layers of outdoor clothing is hopefully coming to an end this school year, it is finally getting enjoyable outside. Although we know the kids are excited to get more outside time in now that the weather is nicer, we ask that students NOT be on the NW grounds until 8:30. Supervision does not start until that time. If students are walking, biking, scootering, etc. please help them with the right leave time so they can follow this rule. Thank you for helping to keep the students safe! Regarding drop off in a vehicle, please remember the parking lot rules regarding this building. The Visitors Lot is a one-way, clockwise lot. For the safety of the kids & staff keep this in mind when navigating parking, pick-ups, and drop-offs. As this newsletter is being issued, there are less than 2 months on the school calendar! With the close of the school year coming close, there are still many, many things going on at Northwoods. If you want to help make the end of the school year and extravaganza, consider helping with the end of year carnival. I can forward your information to the PTO if you let me know you are interested! Liz Wiechert/Partnership Coordinator ~ ewiechert@ecasd.us or 715-852-4107 3

They performed a miniopera of Hansel & Gretel to the staff and students. The Northwoods audience enjoyed the show immensely and feedback from the Opera Troupe was that Northwoods students were one of their best audiences so far!
