The Outlaws are currently on a four game home win streak, dating back to July 19 of last season. The Outlaws were unable to recover from another slow road start in a 19-16 loss at the hands of previously winless Florida last weekend. The Launch outscored the Outlaws 7-3 in the first quarter and never looked back en route to the 19-16 win. Rookie midfielder Matt Kavanagh lived up to the hype in his MLL debut, recording a hat trick in the third quarter and leading the Outlaws with four goals. For the sixth time in seven games, the Outlaws had three players record hat tricks. In addition to Kavanagh, Drew Snider and Wes Berg each scored three goals. After an 0-3 start to the season, the Rattlers have found their stride and are currently riding a three game win streak with two wins over Chesapeake and a third over Ohio. The Rattlers are led by a quarter of All-Stars, including goalie John Galloway who ranks second in the MLL in both goals against average (12.14) and save percentage (.550) and midfielder Ned Crotty who ranks second in the MLL with 15 assists and second on the Rattlers with 21 points. CAPTAINS CALLING Matt Bocklet, Jeremy Sieverts and Drew Snider have been named the captains for the 2016 Denver Outlaws. Matt Bocklet begins his eighth season with the Outlaws and has been a ground ball machine for Denver in his time. Sieverts and Snider have been stellar midfielders for the Outlaws for the past four seasons. Last season, the two finished second and third in scoring for the team with Sieverts scoring 47
points, including three two-point goals, and Snider scoring 46 points, including a team-high 35 goals. BOCKLET BROTHERS The Bocklet brothers are back on the Outlaws. Michael Bocklet was Denver s leading scorer in his first MLL season a year ago after scoring seven points in the Outlaws final game against New York. Chris and Matt have been contributing to Denver consistently over the years. Chris scored 30 points in 12 games last season and holds the Denver single-season goals record with 42 in 2013. Matt picked up a single-season career-high 83 ground balls as one of the five Outlaws to play in every game of 2015. After tying his single-game career high of nine ground balls vs. New York, Matt has 418 ground balls in his career at Denver, the most in Outlaws history. A HAT TRICK OF HAT TRICKS For the sixth time in seven games this season, the Outlaws had three players record hat tricks. In his MLL debut, rookie midfielder led the Outlaws with four goals and attackman Wes Berg and midfielder Drew Snider each scored three. UPCOMING MILESTONES Jeremy Sieverts is one game-winning goal shy of the Outlaws record with nine. Matt Bocklet (106) is one game shy from passing Jesse Schwartzman (106) for second-most all-time games played as a Denver Outlaw. SNIDER THE SNIPER All-Star midfielder Drew Snider has recorded a hat trick in each of the six games he has played in this season, including a seven point (5 goals, 2 assist) effort in the Week 2 season opener against Ohio. Snider s 22 goals are tied for second in the MLL behind Ohio s Marcus Holman, despite playing two fewer games than Holman. Snider s 29 points ranks sixth in the MLL, nine behind leader Ohio s Tom Schreiber, who has played in two more games than Snider. 2016 Game By Game Results GAME DATE OPP. STRK.
