Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450 at Baroota SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 1. TITLE AND EVENT The event will be known as Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450 and will be a Dual Status National Championship / Multi-Club Long Course Off Road Event conducted at Baroota, Southern Flinders, in the state of South Australia on Friday 22 nd July, Saturday 23 rd July and Sunday 24 th July 2011. The event will be Round 3 of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship. 2. AUTHORITY AND PERMIT The event will be held under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de l Automobile (FIA), the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS), General Conditions for All Titles, the Off Road Standing Regulations (ORSR), the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any further regulations, instructions or bulletins which may be issued. The event will be conducted under and in accordance with the CAMS Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety policies, which can be found on the CAMS website at www.cams.com.au The CAMS permit number for the event is 811/2407/01 3. ENTRY DETAILS Entries open, Monday 13 th June 2011, and close at 5pm Monday, 11 th July 2011. The entry fee for Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450, AORC competitors is $715 7 laps and for the Neill Automotive Baroota Cup $355 for 5 Laps. Additional navigators may compete, providing they are properly nominated on the entry form and an additional fee of $20 is paid. A $20 fee is payable for each additional pit pass. Entries are limited to 100 and acceptance will be determined in order of receipt. All entries must be made on the official entry form, and must be accompanied by the requisite entry fee. Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by the relevant payment. CAMS Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance will be provided for competitors, competing crew, and nominated pit crew according to Appendix I of the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Entries withdrawn by written advice only to the Event Secretary before Wednesday 20 th July 2011, 5pm will receive a full refund less $50 administration costs. No refunds will be granted for entries withdrawn after this date.

The organisers reserve the right to abandon, cancel or postpone the event as provided for in NCR 59 of the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport (or to cancel the event if less than 50 entries are received by close of entries). Refer ORSR Article 4.8. 9. SCRUTINY 9.1 Times & Venues Refer Article 11.1 11.5 of the CAMS Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations. Scrutiny for all competitors will be conducted between 4.00pm and 8.30pm on Friday, 22 nd July 2011, at the track Baroota Shed. Competitors are reminded that alcohol is not permitted in the scrutiny area. Competitors must present all competition apparel at Scrutiny for examination. Both driver and navigator must be present at Scrutiny. Vehicles must be capable of being driven in and out of the Scrutiny area. Competitors are reminded of their responsibility to present themselves and their teams appropriately for television purposes. 9.2 Documentation The following documentation will be checked prior to scrutiny CAMS Off Road Competition licences. CAMS Pass Books, [civil driving licences (where required)], CAMS vehicle log books, current CAMS-affiliated club membership cards and Competitor (if not the driver) licences (if applicable). Nominations for the AORC Tri-Series shall be made by close of documentation. Refer to Article 13.4 of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations. 10. CREW BRIEFINGS Refer Article 9 of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations. Briefings for competing crew will be conducted on Saturday, 23 rd July at 7.15am prior to Prologue, and Sunday, 24 th July at 7.00am before the event proper. Briefings will take place at the Baroota Shed (Scrutiny area). Attendance at each crew briefing by each entered crew member is compulsory, and each competing crew member is required to sign on. Cases of non-attendance are to be referred to the stewards by way of a formal charge, which may result in a penalty.

11. RUNNING DETAILS 11.1 General The venue for the event will be 40km north of Port Pirie at Baroota, sign posted on Highway 1 at Don Mudge Road. The Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450, AORC event will consist of 7 laps of approximately 65km circuit. The Neill Automotive Baroota Cup event will consist of 5 laps of approximately 65km circuit, the surface of which is sand, dirt, shell grit & clay. The event will consist of 3 sections, run over 2 days. Section 1 will be 2 continuous laps of the course of approximately 65 km. This section will have a total competitive distance of approximately 130km. Section 2 will be 3 continuous laps of the course of approximately 65 km. This section will have a total competitive distance of approximately 195km. Section 3 (AORC only) will be 2 continuous laps of the course of approximately 65 km. This section will have a total competitive distance of approximately 130km. Total competitive distance for the Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450 (AORC) is approximately 455km and the Neill Automotive Baroota Cup is approximately 325km. Depending on entry numbers Section 1 and Section 2 may be run in heats. This will be at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course. Prologue will start at 8.00am on Saturday 23 rd July 2011 to determine starting positions. The competition will start 11.30am, Saturday, 23 rd July and 7.30am on Sunday, 24 th July 2011. Cars not competing the full course in each section in the prescribed time will be deemed non-finishers for that section. Section times will be issued in Further Regulations. The Clerk of the Course has the right to stop any crew and prevent his/her continuation in any section at his sole discretion, should he deem it unlikely for that crew to complete the course within the allowed time. (Refer Article 11.9 Allowed Time). 11.2 Reconnaissance Will be available for all competitors on Friday, 22 nd July 2011. Reconnaissance is only available to competitors in non-competitive vehicles. Reconnaissance of the full course will commence at 1.00pm. No vehicle will be permitted to commence reconnaissance of the full course after 2.00pm. Reconnaissance of the prologue course in non-competition vehicles shall commence at 3.00pm. No vehicle will be permitted to commence reconnaissance of the prologue course after 3.30pm. All non-competition vehicles participating in the Reconnaissance must display their competition number on the passenger side front windscreen of the vehicle in a position that does not interfere with the driver s visibility.

Competitors will provide their own competition numbers to the following specification: - Size 150mm - Colour Dayglo yellow with no background - Typestyles Helvetica Bold, Zurich Bold and Ariel Bold as per Schedule K Competitors are permitted to drive only one lap of both the course proper and of the prologue course. The maximum speed permitted on reconnaissance is 80km/h. This will be monitored and enforced. Any competitor or crew found to have exceeded the 80km/h speed limit will be charged and a penalty of up to and including exclusion will be recommended. Each occupant of a vehicle undertaking reconnaissance must wear a seat belt. 11.3 Prologue The prologue will be held on Saturday 23 rd July starting at 8.00am. The length of the prologue will be approximately 15 kilometres. Competitors will start the prologue in an order advised by AORCom on the basis of anticipated speeds within class, and prologue start times will be issued with Further Regulations. Dependant on entry numbers a top 10 shoot out may be held, and the results will determine the start order for the event proper. Competitors not finishing the prologue may apply to the organisers to be seeded. The closing time for applications for seeding will be advised in the Further Regulations. 11.4 Course Marking In addition to the standard signs as noted in Article 7 of the Off Road Standing Regulations of the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport, the following course marking signs will be utilised: 100, 200 metre markers. 11.5 Passage Controls Competitors will not be required to stop at any passage control unless instructed by an official, or unless stopping to report an incident. 11.6 Re-fuelling Refer Article 4.10 of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations. At this stage there will be no fuel available at the track due to the short notice in hosting the event. If this changes you will be advised in Further Regulations or via email. Fuel must be Commercial Fuel or Diesel Fuel in accordance with Schedule G and GR27 of the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Attire for crew shall comply with Article 4.6 of the Off Road Standing Regulations of the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. 11.7 Restarting Competitors not completing any section may make application to the Clerk of the Course to start a subsequent section. If allowed to start a subsequent section, they will be required to report to the starter at their allocated time. Cut-off times for receipt of such applications will be advised in Further Regulations.

11.8 Allowed Time To be classified as a finisher, a crew shall complete a section within the time allowed as follows: Section 1 : 2 hours 30 minutes Section 2 : 3 hours 15 minutes Section 3 : 2 hours 15 minutes 12. PENALTIES In addition to the penalties provided for in Article 18 of the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations, the following penalties may be applied by the stewards of the event for the actions indicated. Exceed speed limit on reconnaissance up to exclusion. Failing to allow a faster car to overtake at the first available opportunity - 1 minute. 13. PROTESTS Protests, if any, shall be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the NCR. Crews are reminded that, in accordance with NCR 205, there is no right of protest or appeal against the decision of a Judge of Fact. 14. PIT AREA, PADDOCK AREA Refer to Article 14.2 and 14.3 of the Off Road Standing Regulations in the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Pit and competing crews must display their passes on the outside of garments at all times whilst in the pit area. Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are not permitted in the pit or welding area. No unauthorised persons, including persons under the age of 16 are permitted in the pit area. Crew members are reminded of their responsibility regarding the wearing of passes at all times and of the entry of unauthorised persons into their pit area. Welding may only occur in the area designated for this purpose. The pit and paddock areas will be clearly signed and fenced. Entry in and out of the pit area must be via the designated entry point/s. Pit Speed 15km / hour walking pace. Breaches of these regulations may be referred to the Stewards by way of a formal charge, which may result in a penalty. 15. GENERAL 15.1 Recovery The organisers will provide recovery of disabled vehicles for the event. Pit Crew will be advised where their vehicles can be collected from. At no time may Pit Crew provide their own recovery. At no time may any part of the course be used to recover the vehicle, nor may any part of the course be traversed to access the vehicle for recovery. 15.2 Sweep Vehicle Sweep vehicles will traverse the entire course at the end of prologue and each section, immediately after the last competing vehicle has commenced its last lap. 15.3 Incident Reports Competitors involved in any form of accident during the event must report to the Clerk of the Course as soon possible, but in any event not later than the finish of the event. Accident report forms must be completed in full by one of the vehicle crew and handed to the Clerk of the Course or Competitor Relations Officer at the earliest opportunity.

Vehicles which are involved in an accident involving damage shall be re-examined by the Chief Scrutineer or his delegate before being permitted to take further part in the competition. 15.4 Judges of Fact Control Officials, Starter and Timekeepers will be deemed Judges of Fact with regard to whether or not a vehicle follows the prescribed course, as well as relative order, time of arrival, direction of travel, direction of entry into controls, start procedure and jumping the start. Radar operators and timekeepers will be judges of fact as to whether a vehicle exceeds the speed limit on reconnaissance. Competitors are reminded that, in accordance with NCR 205, there is no right of protest or appeal against the decision of a Judge of Fact. 15.5 Safety Refer to Article 13 of the Off Road Standing Regulations in the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport in relation to: Apparel Safety Harnesses Fire Extinguishers Hot Work Area Emergency Procedures Procedures in Case of Injury Warning Triangles Flags 15.6 Use of Prohibited Substances The CAMS Anti-Doping Policy (refer CAMS web site, Licensing, Competitors link to Anti- Doping Policy) is recognised as an integral component of the NCR and is duly authorised as such. In any areas where the National Competition Rules and the Anti- Doping Policy conflict, the Anti-Doping Policy will take precedence. During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to participate. Refer NCR 145A. In addition, the persons concerned will be subject to the Articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol Testing and CAMS Anti-Doping Policy. Competitors, crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) at any time during the event. 15.7 Video Footage Any video footage taken by competitors (in-car or otherwise), shall not be aired on television (free to air or cable) or made available for sale, without the prior written consent of The Event Organisers and/or Off Road Racing Commercial Development Inc (ORRinc). Upon request by the Clerk of the Course of the Stewards, any footage relating to the competition taken by competitors shall be made available at the event for viewing.

15.8 Miscellaneous a. Specific Information for this Event Camping and amenities will be available to competitors from Friday 22 nd July, camping will incur a fee of $10 per adult. This fee covers your stay for 1 night or all 3 nights. Children under 16 camp for free. At the request of the organising committee, a communal fire will be provided. No other fires will be permitted. (Designated officials will be exempted at the discretion of the organisers). Noise curfew will apply from 11.00pm Friday & Saturday nights. Trophy presentation will be held at approx 7.00pm on Sunday 24 th July at Baroota Shed. A wide range of food and drinks (including a licensed bar) will be available over the entire weekend. b. AORC Class Point Score The 2011 Australian Off Road Class Championships will be scored in accordance with the AORC Sporting Regulations. PASSES Passes will be issued to all nominated crew members and officials. Passes will allow admittance to the event venue and access to the pit area. Additional crew members and spectators will be required to purchase passes to access the event. 17. AWARDS Prize money will be paid as stipulated in Article 16 of the AORC Sporting Regulations. Additional awards will be given for the Bentley s Cabin Park Flinders 450 - AORC competitors will consist of 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd Outright, and 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd in each class. Awards for the Neill Automotive Baroota Cup will consist of 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd Outright and 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd in each class. Classes may be combined at the discretion of the Organisers, and will be announced in Further Regulations. Other prizes and awards may be made at the discretion of the Organisers, including: Performance Metals Longest Leap $1,000.

19. GUIDE TO COMPETITORS A Guide to Competitors will be issued to each competitor with Further Regulations. This guide will contain information which does not form part of the regulations of the event, but will be of assistance to competitors. It should be noted that the contents of the Guide for Competitors are of no regulatory value and may not be used as the basis of a protest.
