Minutes Volume 11 Issue 7 July 2011 Page 3 AGC BOARD OF DIRECTOR S MEETING MINUTES 6/14/2011 Meeting called to order at 7 PM by President Mark Harper. Present: J. Benskin, M. Benskin, Boyd, Braton, Caldwell, Harper, and Steinman Excused Absence: Bonner & Magaziner I. CALL TO ORDER Pledge of Allegiance. II. MINUTES No corrections to the Minutes from BOD Meeting 5/10/2011. 06.14.11.a Motion to accept the minutes from the 5/10/2011 BOD meeting as stated. Motion seconded and passed. III. MEMBERS FORUM: ATA Chairman, Loren Kohler: We are hosting an ATA match at our club on Sunday July 17. Loren asked that the club pay the $100 fee to CSTA. 06.14.11.b Motion to pay the $100 fee to CSTA. Motion seconded and passed. AGC Clubhouse Manager, Dan Cochran: Has had numerous complaints about the prairie dogs on the Trap range. Joe says it is time to call Pest Control person. IV. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT REPORT Our wait list is at 280. V. BUSINESS President, Mark Harper: T.E.V. Edelweiss Club - The club received an invite to their Schutzenfest. We will put into our newsletter in case any member would like to attend. 2010 Financials - After numerous meetings with our CPA, the financials are now ready. We have reduced it from 20 pages to about 8, and put them into categories that are easily read and understood by all. After looking it over by all the Board of Directors and the members in attendance, it was agreed that it looks good. 06.14.11.c Motion to accept the 2010 Financial Statements. Motion seconded and passed. 1st Quarter Financial Statement - The format that we had agreed upon with our CPA was not used, so will meet with them and get this statement straightened out. We will have it ready for July s BOD meeting. Wobble Trap - The brochures and price were available for the BOD to look over. The trap members in attendance agreed that this will make all of the trap shooters happy. Sonny Young was able to save the club $2500, bringing the cost for this Pat Trap Wobble Machine to $8450 plus $125 for shipping. 06.14.11.d Motion to purchase the Pat Trap Wobble Machine for $8575. Motion Seconded and passed. Vote was unanimous. 1st VP, Chuck Steinman: Nothing to add.

ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO ADJOURN. SECONDED. MOTION PASSES President s Message Things You Need To Know The Ranges: There are many work projects that we have to complete before the snow flies. These are all related to improvements to the various ranges at our club. We will post these dates for work parties along with other dates already posted in your newsletter. See something you would like fixed or repaired let us know, and then come out and help us fix or repair it. We will give you money off the cost of your membership dues, and we will feed you lunch. We need your help and we do appreciate it. On Friday June 24th we will be meeting with the City of Aurora Project Chairman to find out when the construction will begin. We have three board positions to fill. We need dedicated club members to serve and face the challenging issues confronting our club. Our next work parties are scheduled for Thursday July 21st and Saturday July 30th. We will start at 8am and work until finished. The club will provide lunch to all workers. This year we are having a Schutzenfest (shooting fest) and wanted to invite all the clubs around the area. We only allow air guns, and our targets will be set at 10 meters. This is a 3 day festival where individuals have the chance to win medals. Tickets are on sale now for $35 and will be raised to $40 after July 1st. All the information can be found at http://www.tevedelweiss.org. The July issue of Guns & Ammo has a very good article by Patrick Sweeney called Family Values detailing how to do this. Emmanuel Boyd July Military Rifle Match Our next match (weather permitting) will be July 2nd on the 200 yard range. Start time is 0800. We will begin with a safety briefing and explanation of the course of fire. Match is open to all as-issued pre-1955 military service rifles or their civilian production equivalent. As-issued means no match components or bedding of the action is allowed. Iron sights only. Ammunition may be G.I. Ball or equivalent hand loads. Target will be the NRA SR target. You will need a minimum of 35 rounds. Entry fee for club members $5.00. Non-members $10.00 Following the match we will have our annual grilled hamburger & hot dog lunch. A great way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend! Course of fire Bench Rest Division: 10 rounds off the bench in 20 minutes, slow fire supported. 10 rounds off the bench in 20 minutes, slow fire unsupported. Competitors will load one round at a time. Sand bags or rifle rests are allowed during the supported course of fire, but no sleds or any support which holds the rifle in an artificial manner. Competitors will not be allowed to use sand bags or rests during the unsupported course of fire. Course of fire Position Shooting Division: 10 rounds standing to prone slow fire in 10 minutes. 10 rounds off hand slow fire in 10 minutes. The use of slings is prohibited during the off hand course of fire but a sling must be attached to the rifle, "parade fashion."competitors will load one round at a time Shooting coats, shooting mats and kneeling rolls are allowed. The use of cotton, nylon or leather 1907 slings is allowed. SIDE MATCH There will be a side match for Post-1955 rifles immediately following our regular match. The side match is open to all as-issued post-1955 military service rifles or their civilian production equivalent. Examples are but not limited to Colt AR-15's, M1A's, FN-FAL's, H&K-91's etc. Pre-1955 rifles may also enter this match. As-issued means no match components or bedding of the action is allowed. We had sixteen shooters for the match. There were some good scores and some not so good. All in all it was a good shoot. No wind and lots of sun. Just right for a Championship shoot. Congratulations to the new muzzleloader Champion, Gene Snyder. They shot the same exact score on three targets and Tom was one point ahead on the x-sticks. Two non-members also shot the match, but could not compete in the club match. Jack Giampampa shot 277, and Billy shot 211. The rest of the shooters were, Don McKee, Al Main, Mike Miller, Ashton Miller, Tim Miller, and Les Lokken. The top expert was Doug Ruegg with a 474 4x, shooting an '03a3. Next was John Denap with a 469 7x with an '03. In the beginner class, Jason Arndt was first with a 408 1x, followed by Kevin Devaney with a 396 4x, and Tyler Davis with a 389 1x; all shooting M-1's.
