STRAIGHT SHOOTER Wyoming Antelope Club Florida Chapter, Inc. A Non-Profit Organization Member of National Rifle Association Member of Florida Sport Shooting Association www.wyomingantelopeclub.org MAILING ADDRESS: PO Box 22352, St. Petersburg, FL 33742-2352 MAY 2014 Presidents Message and Range report by: Mike Smith and Paul Williams As you know we hosted Sniper Craft on the 4 th and 5 th of April and all the teams from around the world had a great time and loved the facilities and Darrick Bartlett wanted to thank the club for hosting them again this year and looks forward to coming back next year on April 10 th and 11th, 2015, as always we look forward to seeing them again. Everyone loved the way the Wyoming Antelope club keeps improving. It s always nice to hear compliments about us. That s why it s important we all pitch in and come to work parties it s a great way to keep our dues down and keep improving the quality of the club. The next work party will be on May 3 rd we start at around 8a.m. and finish around noon and Bill Oalmann and crew always have a great meal for us. Remember on April 30 th we will have our general meeting at the clubhouse and social hour starts around 6p.m. and dinner at 7p.m. Bill always has something great to serve so come out and meet old friends and meet some new ones; you ll have a great time. The range is doing good remember all range officers must check ID s and proper attire must be worn at all times that means no low cut shirts or open shoes. Range officers please park away from the public line so our members and guest can park there. Please keep your commitment when you sign up for a duty, don t cross out your name unless you contact Paul or Mike. Have a great time at the range and hope to see you all soon Dear WAC members, My name is Seth Clagg and I m one of your junior shooters. I primarily compete in USPSA but I also shoot Steel Challenge. I began my shooting career at the WAC a little more that two years ago at a Tuesday night match. Soon after I began shooting, a few members began donating their time every month to work with me and a few other juniors. The bug bit I began shooting as much as possible. About 18 months later, I found myself making master class and pursuing a spot on the World USPSA team. Late 2013, I found out that I had made the team. My purpose for writing this is to say WE made the team. See from the very beginning the WAC and the guys we shoot with have helped me along the way from sponsoring me at matches and supplying me with all types of necessary shooting supplies. I could not have ever made this journey without the WAC and its generous members. It s impossible to imagine if my family had never drove out to the WAC that Tuesday night. To all the WAC members, thank you for your support. Respectfully, Seth Clagg SHOOTING GALLERY Open Sat & Sun 10am - 2pm GENERAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 7pm MAY 28th WORK PARTY SATURDAY MAY 3rd

ARCHERY 2014 Starting on Tuesday night January 28, 2014 members and non members are welcome to participate in one of two archery leagues. The starting time is. Please come a little early to help set up the range. One of the two leagues is a competition league and we will use the 3-D targets. The distances for these targets will be out to about 40 yards. The other league will be a recreational league for new archers or those that need to improve their shooting skills. Targets and distances for this league will be appropriate for the archer. The club now has bows and arrows that can be used by new shooters. If you want to give archery a try, this is an opportunity for you. A recreational shooter can move to the competition league after passing a shooting proficiency test. Archers may use compound or traditional type bows. All arrows must have field or target points, not broadheads. The fee is $5.00. A few times during the year we will conduct a drawing for a cash prize. You are entered into the drawing each time you shoot. Contact one of the discipline leaders for more information. The Tuesday night shoots will continue until late September 2014.
