INTRODUCTION Dear National Federations, The FEI Driving department is very pleased to provide you with the FEI Driving Schedule Guidelines for 2019. The aim of these Guidelines is to help you with the process of completing the 2019 Driving Schedules, while ensuring the coherence of all versions of the Draft Schedules until their final approval. Here below you will find some general guidelines to follow and more specific ones corresponding to the chapters of the 2019 Driving Schedule. Some screenshots have been used as examples, in order to facilitate the process. We hope that you will find these guidelines useful and we thank you for your continued collaboration. Please Note: all screenshots are displayed as examples only. GENERAL REMARKS: 1) Please always make modifications on the most recent version of the schedule sent from the FEI. Available under the following link: http://inside.fei.org/fei/yourrole/organisers/driving 2) Please use a color/highlighter for every modification you make in the schedule. 3) The schedule must be completed in conjunction with the FEI General Rules, FEI Driving Rules and FEI Veterinary Rules. The schedule is approved, provided the corrections and additions as made by the FEI. The National Federation and Organising committee are obliged to ensure that the mandatory sections in the approved schedule is forwarded to guest NFs and Officials for their information. NOTICE TO NF/OC FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL EVENTS Any competitions other than those covered in the Rules for Driving Events must be approved by the FEI before they may be added to the schedule Schedules for CAIs and Championships are approved by the FEI. Schedules CIM (Lower-level Events) must be sent to the FEI Secretariat for approval by the NF concerned, at least 4 weeks before the event is due to take place. Schedules for CIs (High-level events) must be sent to the FEI Secretariat for approval by the NF concerned, at least 10 weeks before the event is due to take place. Final approval of the draft schedule by the FEI, in accordance with the GR Art. 110, denotes only that the contents conform to the FEI Statutes, General Regulations and Rules. By no means does this entail implicit acceptance of any liability by the FEI for any damages to third parties caused by the Organising Committee and its officials, riders, drivers, owners, and their horses. 4

FEI SCHEDULE Driving 2019 I. DENOMINATION OF THE EVENT Every competition of the event must figure in relation with the FEI approved Calendar. Please check that all your competitions listed in the schedule match with the ones approved on the FEI Calendar: https://data.fei.org/calendar/search.aspx If a competition is not listed and needs to be added or if one needs to be removed, please send a Calendar Form modification from your respective NF to the FEI in due time by contacting the FEI Calendar department (calendar@fei.org). IV. GENERAL INFORMATION Please make sure that the members of the organizing committee and the Event Director are not listed as officials for the event, as per DR art.984. V. OFFICIALS Panel of officials: If several competitions are held on the same day: It is requested to have the same panel of officials, if possible, for all competitions: Ground Jury President, Ground Jury Members, Foreign Judge, Technical Delegate, Course Designer, Chief Steward, President of the Veterinary Commission and Appeal Committee (if necessary). The highest star rated competition must be taken into consideration in order to complete the list of officials. If several competitions are held in the same time, the panel of Officials will have to be expanded accordingly. Check of officials: Please complete the Officials table based on the DR Chapter XIV OFFICIALS and depending on the star rating level of your event (CAI*, CAI2*, CAI3*, CAIO, Championships). A useful tool is also the Officials in Driving list, which is updated on a daily basis and can be found on the dedicated web page: http://inside.fei.org/fei/your-role/fei-officials-lists to insure your official is dully star rated and can be appointed. Please check the conformity and matching of the FEI ID numbers with the names of officials. In addition, make sure that the column NF in the officials table which you complete in the schedule corresponds to the official s National Federation and not to his nationality. 5

Contact of officials: Do not forget to add the email contact details of all officials mentioned with an asterisk (*), including the doctor and the farrier (phone number is mandatory for these two). Composition of the Panel of FEI Officials: Please refer to below articles, depending on the star rating level of your event. 1. Ground Jury (GR Art. 144, 149, DR 987) 2. Foreign Judge (GR Art. 148, DR 987) 3. Technical Delegate (GR Art. 153, DR 988) 4. Assistant Technical Delegate (GR Art. 153, DR 988) 5. Course Designer (GR Art. 151, DR 989) 6. Assistant Course Designer (GR Art. 151, DR 989) 7. Appeal Committee (GR Art. 150, 160, DR 991) Please note that an Appeal Committee Member cannot be a Member of the Ground Jury. 8. Chief Steward (Art. 155, 244, DR 990 and manual for Stewards) 9. Assistant Stewards (Level 1* recommended, Art. 155, 990 The number of Assistants Stewards may be increased in relation to the number of competitions and horses) 10. FEI Veterinary Delegate of Veterinary Commission (GR Art. 154, 259.4.1, 259.4.22, VR Art 1003, 1006, 1013) 11. Veterinary Service Manager FEI Treating Veterinarian (VR Art. 1103, 1105) 12. Medical Doctor 13. Farrier 14. NF Delegate (if applicable) Consecutive appointment: Veterinary Delegate (VD) must not have officiated in the exact same event for more than three consecutive years, without taking at least 3 years break, according to the (VR art. 1121) 6

VI. INVITATIONS (GR Art 115, DR 916-924) Do not forget to complete the number of horses per driver (DR art. 916) and if the invitations are open to all countries or restricted. If restricted, a list of the NFs concerned by the invitation must be published. For Championships and CAIOs a date for additional Entries (only for NFs who have submitted Nominated entries for a team) may be mentioned at the discretion of the OC. This date must be stated at the time of the Approval of the Schedule and will be confirmed after the Nominated Entries date. (DR art.927) 7

VII. ENTRIES ENTRY DATES and ENTRY FEE: Definite entries: Definite entries must reach the OC at the latest four days preceding the beginning of the Event. (GR Art. 116, DR 916-924) Last substitution date and time: is 1h prior to the first vet inspection. If there are several days of competitions, a different day of vet inspection may be indicated and then a different date/time for the last substitution options. (DR art. 946) List of compulsory fees OTHER FEES/CHARGES BY ORGANISING COMMITTEE: Please complete all details with the amount. If there is not, it should be notified clearly. VIII. TIMETABLE To be completed according to the Schedule of the Organiser and Format of competition selected. 8

IX. COMPETITION DETAIL TYPE OF COMPETITION Please select the type of competition. (DR Chapter II) PRIZE MONEY Mandatory for CAI3* and above. (GR Art. 127, 128) FEI World Cup Qualifiers (DR art. 901.6.4) DRESSAGE - COMPETITION This competition will be in accordance with DR Chapter XI DRIVEN DRESSAGE Art. 949 to 958 The dressage tests haven to be selected form the list available online in accordance to the level of competitions and categories: http://inside.fei.org/fei/your-role/organisers/driving/dressage-tests MARATHON - COMPETITION This format of the competition(s) will be in accordance with DR Chapter XII MARATHON Art. 959 to 969. CONES - COMPETITION This competition type will be in accordance with DR Chapter XIII CONES Art. 970 to 981 Type of Competition *Fault Competition (Art. DR 976) Time Competition (Art. DR 978) Competition in two phases (Art. DR 979) Competition with Wining Round - (Art. DR 980) *Article 971.1.1 The score from this round will always be used solely to decide the Final Classification in all Events. COMBINED MARATHON - COMPETITION This competition will be in accordance with DR & FEI World Cup TM Driving Rules. 9

X. FACILITIES OFFERED If available, please list some accommodation for Athletes and Grooms. XI. LOGISTICAL/ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL INFORMATION Draw: must be physical draw for World Cup Qualifiers, World Cup TM and Championships. Competition arena(s): Dressage FEI Driving Rules art. 950 Cones FEI Driving Rules art. 972 Warm-up arena for World Cup Qualifiers - FEI Driving Rules art. 901.6.4. Stables: FEI Veterinary Rules art. 1008 Timing Device/ Scoring/Timing provider: Name of Manufacturer: Name must be completed. Prize giving ceremony: please tick the box Advertising & Publicity: Please tick the correct box: allowed or not allowed. FEI Driving Rules art. 941 Ticketing / Betting: please tick the box and complete Horses/Ponies transport: Please complete if the transport expenses is at the charge of the organizer or not. Entry right to showgrounds/accredited persons : FEI General Rules Art. 132 Entry right to the stable area according to FEI Veterinary Regulations Art. 1008-1009. (GR Art. 132), Please list the persons with right of entry to the show grounds. VETERINARY MATTERS Name of horse Transport Company representing the OC, known required customs documents, border crossing points, times of opening etc. National requirements: OCs to add any applicable National Legislation, for example: Government Welfare, Medication Rules etc. XIV. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Should the OC has any important information. XV. ANNEXES FEI ENTRY SYSTEM Please add at least one person with FEI ID and full contact details that will have access to the FEI Entry System, as ADMIN right. There is also the possibility to have only a CONSULT right for some members of the organizing committee. If so, you need to indicate it. In case the person does not have a FEI ID, the FEI might be able to create it for him/her, providing you enter a valid Email Address. 11
