4-H SHOOTING SPORTS MATCH BB GUN SUNDAY, March 17, 2019 (8:00 a.m.) Riley County Fairgrounds Pottorf Hall Avery Avenue Manhattan, KS (CICO Park area) The 4-H Straight Shooters will be hosting a shooting sports match for BB Gun SUNDAY March 17 th. This match is a state qualifier. All levels of shooters are invited to participate from 4-H age 9 to 15. If a youth turns 16 before the first shot of the match, they are not eligible to participate in this match. NOTE: the minimum age to participate at the Spring State Match is: 9 years old before Jan. 1, 2019 for BB Gun Registration form and fees are due Sunday, March 3, 2019. Late registrations only accepted to fill relays. Fees are $12 per shooter per discipline (no charge for fun shoot). We will only accept registration from one person per county and this person will be notified of relay times. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Each county needs to verify their shooters information when checking in for correct DOB, JR/SR division, and RELAY. NOTE: Age brackets will be adjusted for BB Gun after all registrations have been received. Final age brackets will be posted the day of the match. The ORION scoring system will be used for ALL EVENTS and AWARDS. BB Gun (SUNDAY ONLY): Shooters will shoot 10 bull shots in each of the 4 positions. Rules will follow the current Daisy National Match Program rules (NRA BB Gun rulebook with some modifications). Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in the following divisions: 1 st Year JR/SR, JR and SR. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in BB Gun, the minimum individual score is 350. Space is limited to 176. FUN SHOOT: (4-H age 8 ONLY): If space allows. Shooters will shoot 10 bull shots in each of the 4 positions. Rules will follow the current Daisy National Match Program rules (NRA BB Gun rulebook with some modifications). All participants will receive recognition. A concession stand will be available provided by the 4-H Straight Shooters families. This match is a state qualifier. All levels of shooters are invited to participate from 4-H age 9 to 18. NOTE: the minimum age to participate at the Spring State Match is: 9 years old before Jan. 1, 2019 for Air Rifle and 12 years old before Jan. 1, 2019 for Air Pistol Registration form and fees are due Sunday, March 3, 2019. FLAT NOSE pellets only. Rules will follow the current NRA-USAS Progressive Air Pistol. Juniors age 13 and under will shoot one or two handed unsupported. Seniors age 14 & up will shoot one handed unsupported. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in the 1 st Year, JR and SR divisions. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in Air Pistol, the minimum individual score is 280. Space is limited to 57. Air Rifle (SATURDAY ONLY: Shooters will shoot 60 shots in 3P (20 shots each position). FLAT NOSE pellets only. Rules will follow the current CMP National Standard 3-position Air Rifle rulebook. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in the 1 st Year, JR and SR divisions. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in Air Rifle, the minimum individual score is 450. Space is limited to 57. A concession stand will be available provided by the 4-H Straight Shooters families.
