The Seven Oaks School Division provides affordable programs geared towards Middle Year Students Grades 6-8. EDGE (Extended Day Growth Education) offers interesting and fun activities students can enjoy after the school day is over. Most activities start at 3:15 PM and end at 5:30 PM each school day (unless otherwise indicated). This is an 8 week session (unless otherwise indicated). REGISTRATION PROCEDURE The first line gives the specific registration information: Program title, course time, and weekday the program is offered. Partridge $60.00 Students are required to go to E Partridge to attend this program *LATER START DATE: THIS IS A 7 WEEK COURSE - NO CLASSES May 22 Victoria Day Class sizes are limited: Programs are offered depending upon enrollment. Programs with high registration may be split or a waiting list created for the next session. Low registration may result in the program being cancelled. Behaviour Policy: This form is to be read and signed by both the parent and participant. This is to ensure that all participants are aware of the behaviour expected during the course of the program. Photo Release Form: This form is necessary in the event that pictures are taken of students participating in the EDGE program for school website or newspaper articles promoting the EDGE program. If your child has to miss or cancel participation in a class: Please advise the Program Coordinator so the instructor of the program may be advised of an absence or withdrawal of a student. This is a mixture of Indian classical and folk styles of dance forms mixing with western contemporary dance. It combines Belly Dancing, Kathak, Indian Folk, Modern Jazz and some really great music! You will be required to complete all the assignments, behave and show a level of maturity that is befitting a babysitter plus pass the course test. Your babysitter manual will be supplied; a pencil, pen and notebook will be required. Hola! Are you and your family planning a trip to Mexico or another country where Spanish is spoken? Even if you re not, maybe you just want to learn about a different language and culture. It always can be an asset to be used in the future. How great would be if you could communicate even just the basics of any other language! In this class you will learn to speak and read some basic Spanish and this is the best place to start!

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE The combination of physical, biological and all other informational sciences (which can include everything from biology, ecology, physics, chemistry and more) are all used to study the environment and helping to find solutions that face the world and all those in it. Whether it s realizing a small way in your own community to contribute to saving the environment to learning about all the current ways scientists are trying to apply new technology today. This is a very exciting and interesting course for all young scientists and those interested in taking care of the planet!

Then this is the dance class for you! Within this course we will be doing a variety of different dance styles including hip hop, jazz and contemporary. You will learn a number of cool dance moves, tricks and proper dance techniques in this class. Along with the above, as a group we will work on a number of different combinations. Paper Mache is a fun building art form so if you like to build, create and get a bit messy in the process come out and try this class. We supply all the materials and you supply the creativity!
