R U L E S The Competition will be carried out according to the UIPM rules. Swimming 25m indoor pool/8 lanes Fencing 12 pistes Laser Run 40 laser targets Pentashot HIT & MISS provided by the LOC E N T R I E S 1. The U19 Tetrathlon competition will count towards Youth Olympic Games World Ranking List (YOGPWR) U19 (YA), for athletes born 2000-2003 if fulfilling criteria according to UIPM Competition Rules 1.19.2 2. For the U19 Tetrathlon competition the maximum number allowed is 4 athletes per nation and gender. The host nation can compete with 6 athletes per gender - UIPM Competition Rules 1.12.8 (if free places) 3. For U17 Triathlon the invitation is for unlimited number of the athletes and coaches per nation, but based on the received preliminary entries, the LOC, reserve the right to reduce the overall number of the athletes per NF. E Q U I P M E N T Equipment control for fencing will be immediately before the first round of fencing and combined run/shoot with take part prior the beginning of the competition. Delegations are required to send by bank transfer of 30% minimum of the total amount of your team accommodation invoice until 31 st March 2018, otherwise, the reservation will not be guaranteed. For the remainder of the total cost may be paid in cash at the accreditation desk on arrival. Delegations arriving or departing before these dates and more than 2 different flights please contact with the LOC to confirm additional prize to cover the local transport. NF wishing to arrange its own accommodation must pay an Accreditation Fee per participant (athletes, Coaches and officials) 50 Euros per day (minimum 2 days). Transportation from the hotel to the venue for athletes will be according to the training and competition program. A T H L E T E S L I C E N S E S Athletes are only allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events if they are registered with the UIPM. I N S U R A N C E According the UIPM Rules all competitors must be current members of their Federation and are responsible for their own insurance cover for the event. The organizer will not accept any responsibility, financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any delegation member. V I S A S A N D V A C C I N A T I O N S : Important information, please read it! Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into Portugal prior travelling to the event. The LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas, but can provide specific letters of invitation if needed. E N T R Y F O R M S We would appreciate the early confirmation of your intention to participate or not. Please submit Form A&B at the end of this document as soon as possible. If you do not complete the information required or your delegation s deposit, we will assume that your delegation will not participate. Deadlines for the Entry Forms are as follows, Entry A & B : Entry form must return before 25 th February 2018 Final Entry C: RETURN BEFORE 15 th April 2018 Delegations are reminded of the Rule 1.14.3 & 1.14.5. Following confirmation of the final entries, a NF must enter the competition with at least one pentathlete. Any NF
failing to take part after having sent their final entries will pay a fine of 600 Euros to UIPM. If at your arrival, the team has less athletes and/or team officials than listed on the Final Entry Form and without inform the Organizing Nation/LOC at least 7 days prior to the arrival, the NF will pay a fine to the LOC of 200 Euros for each person not attending.
