Junior Dolphin of the Week Congratulations Joshua Ramirez on being named our Week 9, Jnr Dolphin of the week. Joshua is 7 years old and joined Ripples St Marys Swimming Club in 2015 at the age of 3. Joshua is in the Learn to Swim Program at Ripples Leisure Centre and is in the Platypus level. Throughout the last year Joshua has progressed from using a swimming aid in 25m events to now swimming unaided in 25m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke. Congratulations Joshua on your wonderful swimming progress!! 12 & Under Swimmer of the Week Congratulations Brooke Jones on being named Week 9, 12 & Under Swimmer of the Week. Brooke is 10 years old and joined Ripples St Marys Swimming club in the winter season of 2017. Brooke trains up to 3 times per week and is in the Ripples Senior Swim squad. Brooke has represented Ripples St Marys Swimming club at many carnivals and she has been striving for the 10 year girls breaststroke JX qualifying time. On the 25 th November 2018, Brooke achieved her goal by obtaining the Green JX time for 50m Breaststroke, finishing in a time of 54.17secs. Congratulations Brooke, hard work pays off!!
13 & Over Swimmer of the Week Congratulations to Georgia Green who has been named Week 9, 13 & O Swimmer of the Week. Georgia is 14 years old and has been a member of Ripples St Marys Swimming Club since 2016. Georgia is the 2018/19 Vice- Captain and trains under head coach Michael Faccin in the Representative squad. In 2018 Georgia has participated in numerous carnivals including the NSW Achiever Squad Meet and the NSW Senior LC and SC Metropolitan Championships. Georgia has also qualified for the first time in the 2018 NSW State Open & Age Open Water and the 2018 Optus SNSW Senior State Age Championships, both events to be held in December, 2018. Congratulations Georgia and good luck!! Week 9 Biggest Personal Best Congratulations to Lawrenz Timbol who achieved the biggest PB in Week 9. Lawrenz improved in 50m Freestyle by 12.58 secs. Well done Lawrenz!!
