OUR CATCH & RELEASE POLICY All anglers staying with the Outpost Company are required to practice catch and release fishing. This means that you can eat smaller fish during your stay, but you cannot fillet and pack your limit to take home. As your outfitter, we provide the float plane travel into the lake, the boats, motors, gas, and basic gear like nets and paddles, and a beautifully crafted log cabin. All of our cabins are fully modern with hot and cold running water, indoor showers, solar panels or a generator for lighting, propane fridge and stove, and a gas grill. Each cabin is equipped with a wood-fired heater and a kitchen area stocked with all of your cooking and dining utensils. Wingiskus Lake Outpost You can fish at your own pace, have a picnic lunch on the lake, and head back to the cabin early if you feel like a nap. RICKABY 0 1 mile WINGISKUS N50 37.438 W95 03.457 Built in 2004, the cabin at Wingiskus is a timber construction chalet with two bedrooms, a spacious living area, and a large deck. This beautiful chalet will easily accommodate 6 people. Wingiskus Lake is one of those smallmouth bass lakes that make your adventure into the wilds of Canada all that much more rewarding. Wingiskus Lake has 3,600 acres of prime smallmouth bass habitat consisting of clear water, rock shoals, cobblestone points, and weed beds. This is an action packed lake! Rolston Lake Outpost Our outpost lakes are totally secluded. With no neighbors, you and your friends will truly be lord of the wilderness. ROLSTON CHAVAL ROLSTON N50 34.020 W94 34.143 The cabin on Rolston Lake is a cozy two-bedroom cottage. This newly renovated cabin is best suited for a group of two to four people. VANANCE Rolston Lake offers an abundance of walleye and northern pike, with a good size average and some real trophies. Chaval Lake is accessed by a small river, and also boasts an excellent walleye fishery. MoosehornLake Outpost MOOSEHORN N50 13.841 W94 38.600 The timber frame cabin on Moosehorn Lake is built of select logs harvested from the area. With floor to ceiling windows and an incredible view, this twobedroom cabin is best suited to a group of four but can accommodate up to six people. Moosehorn Lake is a small mouth bass hot spot with many shallow bays and rock reefs. The cool, clear water offers some of the finest bass busting action around. Trout Lake is accessed from Moosehorn Lake through a 250-yard portage where more hungry smallmouth bass lay in wait or you can try your luck with the lake trout. The portage to Pike Lake is 200 yards long and will lead you to an excellent bass and northern pike fishery. MOOSEHORN PIKE One of the most important pieces of equipment that you should bring is your camera. ChaseLake Outpost EAGLE Whether your group is large or small, avid anglers or novice, experienced with the outdoors or not, we can design a trip around your needs and wants. CHASE N50 36.702 W94 55.254 You re really in the wilderness when you re staying at Chase Lake. The lake borders Woodland Caribou Provincial Park where it is not uncommon to spot moose or caribou. There are two modern cabins on Chase Lake to accommodate parties up to 10 people, or to be split between two smaller parties. Chase Lake outpost is situated on a chain of remote lakes known as the Bird River. Chase Lake connects to Midway and Eagle Lakes via narrow channels, which are navigable by boat, so you can fish a lot of lake with ease. With so many outstanding fishing spots that you could spend an entire summer trying to fish each one of them, there is plenty of action for your favorite fishing lures. Dowswell Lake Outpost Pack a picnic lunch and head out for a day of exploring the lakes surrounding your outpost. A whole new adventure is a short hike away. 0 1 mile DOWSWELL N50 37.622 W94 43.982 We re particularly proud of this unique, hand-hewn log cabin on the shores of beautiful Dowswell Lake. It was the first one built in the design that all of our outpost cabins built since then would be modeled after. It is a five-sided structure that was built with pine logs harvested from the nearby woods. The cabin sleeps eight in four bedrooms. Dowswell Lake itself harbors northern pike, lake trout and small mouth bass. Bilko Lake is connected to Dowswell by a 450-yard hike. Bilko Lake holds lots of walleye and northern pike, as do three other lakes that connect to Dowswell via portage trails of similar length. SalvesonLake Outpost Fish never tastes quite as delicious as when it s cooked straight from the lake. RAPIDS STURGEON RIVER RAPIDS CAMPFIRE RIVER RAPIDS SALVESON N50 21.641 W94 21.611 The cabin on Salveson Lake adds a bit of luxury to your outpost stay. There is plenty of space for you to spread out, relax and plan your fishing strategies. The screened porch and spacious decks will lure you away from a kitchen and living room that would make anyone want to move to the Canadian wilderness. There is room for 8 in 3 bedrooms, each featuring individual thermostats for those cool evenings. SALVESON 0 1 mile Salveson Lake is a beautiful lake that lends itself to the fancy of anyone who stays there. Located on the Sturgeon River, which in turn connects to the English River, fishing on Salveson has been a long time family favorite. The lake is long and narrow with majestic high bluffs, a vibrant rapids, plenty of wildlife, and a healthy fishery. RexLake Outpost REX N50 27.643 W94 41.805 The timber frame cabin on Rex Lake is built of logs harvested from the area. The front walls are filled with windows that offer the stunning views of the forest and lake that all our camps are known for. With three bedrooms, the cabin will accommodate six fishermen in wilderness comfort. Rex Lake lies in a basin of sedimentary rock, which is ideal habitat for crayfish. Where crayfish are abundant, so are small mouth bass. Don t be surprised if a yard-long northern pike appears out of nowhere and tries to take your lure for it s lunch. A 500- yard portage will take you to Little Rex Lake, famous for its walleye fishing. A Canadian outpost vacation is a great way to get away from everyday life and recharge your internal batteries. LongLake Outpost When you go outside at night, you won t see a single light except stars and northern lights in the dark sky. The cabin on Long Lake is complete with boardwalk paths, a screened gazebo by the water s edge, knotty pine interior and half log siding exterior, will accommodate up to 4 people. The view from the cabin is nothing short of magnificent with huge rock bluffs to protect from high winds. Long Lake will provide you with loads of northern pike and walleye action, often even right off the dock. Plan for a delicious feast of fresh fish. In Pressure Lake you will find a hotbed of scrapping walleye and hefty northern pike. SharpstoneLake Outpost There is nothing quite like the excitement of a ride in a bush plane over the lakes and trees of the Canadian wilderness. SHARPSTONE RAPIDS RAPIDS BERENS RIVER MOAR SOUTH CHANNEL 0 2 miles SHARPSTONE N52 00.862 W94 58.799 Located 145 miles north of our floatplane base in Minaki, the outpost on Sharpstone Lake consists of a modern log cabin that handles up to six guests in three bedrooms. As with many of our other outposts, this timber frame cabin offers floor to ceiling views of the outdoors. Sharpstone Lake is a part of the famous Berens River. The cold, oxygenated water produces an excellent northern pike and walleye fishery. The fishing on Sharpstone is simply spectacular. BeeLake Outpost RAEHILL 0 1 mile BEE N50 40.674 W95 01.802 BEE The cabin on Bee Lake was built with pine logs harvested from the nearby woods. The cabin holds up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. There s a large deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee and experience a beautiful Canadian sunrise. You ll have no neighbors at Bee Lake, only the woodland caribou and moose that our guests often spot while here. One of the strongest attributes of Bee Lake besides the smallmouth bass is the potential for exploratory fishing. Bee Lake is part of a long chain of waterways that include Raehill and Eden Lakes. Eden Lake is connected by a narrow channel and has an outstanding lake trout and bass fishery. Outposts are an ideal place to get together for families, friends, couples, or business associates. TraplineLake Outpost ELBOW Handle all trophy fish with care; take their measurement and gently release them into the water for future generations to enjoy. NORTH TRAPLINE N50 30.501 W94 53.189 This is the perfect lake for a wilderness adventure with a larger group of family members or old buddies. Trapline Lake camp consists of a very comfortable pine cabin with a large, airy dining room and living room. The cabin will sleep 12 people in 4 bedrooms. The porch is fully screened, so you can enjoy the evening air and sunsets. NO NAME Trapline Lake is a great walleye and northern pike lake. Easily accessed lakes with short portage trails also surround it. In Wilson Lake, which is just a 20-yard portage from Trapline Lake, you ll have the opportunity to catch lake trout. Our Location HOW TO FIND US: From International Falls, MN follow Highway 11 West to Highway 71. Follow Highway 71 North to Highway 17. Turn left on highway 17 West and follow to Highway 596. Turn right on to Highway 596. Follow Highway 596 North to Minaki. Turn left on to Highway 525. River Air (N49 58.624 W94 42.985 ) is the first driveway on the right hand side (100 yards). This is where your flight into your outpost will depart from.
