games. The 102 points against Northern State marked the team s ninth time over 100 points since the 2002-03 season with nearly half of those times (four) coming this season. The four times (102 vs. Northern State - 2/12/16; 103 points against Southwest Minnesota State - 1/29/16; 108 at Wayne State - 1/16/16 and 106 points vs. Crown College - 12/30/15) over a 100 points this season is the most for the program since the 1990-91 team did it seven times. The team ended up shooting 63.9 percent from the field for the game (39-for-61) and hit from the three-point line at a 62.5 percent clip (10-for-16). The 63.9 percent shooting from the field was the team s best shooting since hitting on exactly that percentage against Wayne State last season (1/17/15). Those two 63.9 shooting percentages from the field the last two years can only be topped over the last three seasons by the 2012-13 team hitting on 65.5 percent of their shots against Ashford. The 62.5 percent shooting from three-point range against the Wolves this year was last eclipsed by the team s 64.3 percent shooting (9-for-14) against Ashford during the 2012-13 campaign (12/29/12). SCSU was able to knocked down a season-high 26 free throws in the 103-94 win over the Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 29. Scottie Stone became just the 39th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points with his 18 points against Minot State (1/23/16) Gage Davis 36 points against Wayne State (1/16/16) were the most points scored by an SCSU player since Taylor Witt scored 39 points against Augustana during the 2011 season SCSU Active Player Career Leaderboard Games Played... Scottie Stone and Gage Davis became the first SCSU teammates to score 30 or more points in games in the same season (Stone - 32 pts. vs. Minnesota Crookston - 1/9/16 and 34 pts. at Wayne State - 1/16/16; Davis - 32 pts. vs. CSP and 36 pts. at Wayne State - 1/16/16) since Jordan Poydras and Matt Craggs did it during the 2013-14 season. Stone and Davis also became the first set of teammates at SCSU to score 30 or more points in the same game in at least the last 10 years. Since the start of the 2005 season, Davis and Stone are only the sixth set of teammates to both score 30 or more points in a game in the same season (David Dreas and Adam Sullivan in 2006-07; Taylor Witt and Josh Ortmann in 2008-07; Taylor Witt and Matt Schneck in 2009-10; Taylor Witt and Andrew Bernsetter in 2010-11; Jordan Poydras and Matt Cragg in 2013-14). Stone and Davis are the first set of teammates to do the feat of 30 or more points in back-to-back games since the 2010-11 season when Andrew Bernsetter scored 35 against Upper Iowa (1/8/11) and Taylor Witt scored 31 points the next day (1/9/11) against Winona State. The team defeated Wayne State by 108-74 score on Jan. 16. The 108 points against Wayne State was the most points for the program since scoring 120 against Dakota State during the 2008-09 season. The team s 43 made field goals against WSU tied the season high (also against Crown College - 12/30/15). The 43 made field goals twice this season are the most since the team also hit 43 shots against Dakota State during the 2008-09 season. The 39-point loss to then No. 2 Augustana, 102-63, on Jan. 15 was the worst defeat for the program since they fell by the same score and margin to Nebraska-Omaha during the 2001-02 season. The Huskies recorded 50 or more rebounds in a game for the first time on season with 54 boards against Crown College (12/30/15). The 54 rebounds were the most for the program since hauling in 58 against Crossroads College last season. The team s 30 assists against Crown College (12/30/15) were the most for the team since gettting 32 helpers against Dakota State during the 2008 season. The 49 points allowed to Crown College was the lowest opponent point total since Iowa Wesleyan was limited to 47 points against SCSU last season. The 57-point margin of victory against Crown College was the largest for the program since the 1990-91 team had a 70-point victory over Macalester (144-74). The SCSU team was able to knock down 15-of-25 three-point attempts (60 percent) in the 97-68 victory against Minnesota Crookston (12/5/15). The 15 made threes against UMC were the most made threes for the team since knocking down a school-record 16 against Winona State during the 2010-11 season (1/9/11). Gage Davis three straight double-doubles from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5 was the longest streak of double-doubles for the program since Andrew Bernstetter also had three straight during the 2011 season (from 1/3/11 to 1/9/11). The Huskies lead the NSIC with an average of 12.4 offensive rebounds a game this season.
