HOOfPRINTS December 2017 President: Adrienne Curran 0413 486 282 DC : Lynn Evans n Kez Secretary: Tammy Edgars Hoofprints Editor: jeffevans@bigpond.com CMPC Web Site www.coriomoorabool.ponyclubvic.org.au DC Report Dear Members & Parents, Hi All, We we are getting a mix bag for this rally, hopefully we will be lucky enough that the proposed rain won t effect our grounds too much. We will have Plan 1 which will be rally as normal and Plan 2 which will depend on the grounds on Saturday evening. I will check the grounds at 6 pm on Saturday evening and make a call in regard to the rally immediately after this inspection, Kez will post the decision on Facebook and I will send every member an email so please check your correspondence in. The decision will be made for the safety of the riders. Please take note of the rally plan times - we will be having 4 x 40 minute sessions, prompt movement between session will be necessary so you don t miss the allotted time for your sessions. During the holidays ensure your time is spent well with you horses, caring for them in the heat, checking water, ensuring that their feet are being cared for as the ground has gone very hard very quickly. A Certificate information evening has been booked to be run by Yvonne McDonald from Barwon Zone on the 18th January at our Clubroom. This is a perfect opportunity for riders and parents to check out how and why the certificate system works. By doing your certificates the information and hands on experience is invaluable for you to care for your horse, your gear, yourself and your safety. Groups and program will be finalised on Saturday evening. Have a wonderful Christmas & New Year, enjoy your school break and we will see you Sunday. Lynn n Kez

PRESIDENTS REPORT It s nearly time!!! December rally BBQ, Kris Kringle present, Pony fancy dress, ice cream truck..!!!! Tammy outlined all of the details in her email recently. Contact myself or Tammy if you haven t received it Our visitor from Pony Club Australia had a lovely visit. I saw Catherine speaking to a number of you at rally and I believe there will be a small article in the PCA Newsletter about her visit to CMPC. Once it s out we will email everyone a copy of at least the link. Our Presentation Night is on Friday December 8th at 7.00pm!!!! Please let me know on pres@cpmc.org.au if you are coming by Thursday November 30th and deposit the money into our bank account. The details were sent in a flier from Tammy and are in November Hoofprints on our Website. www.coriomoorabool.ponyclubvic.org.au Friday Fun Night (FFN) is on December 1st at 7.30. We are making Christmas decorations and then using them to decorate the clubrooms. Let Tammy know on sec@cmpc.org.au if you can make it by Thursday Nov 30th $5 for dinner. Thanks to those who have replied to Lynn at dc@cmpc.org.au for those who haven t it isn t too late but let Lynn know asap so she can put your name down on the rally plan. Rally FYI If you have replied to DC and that you can t make rally and then circumstances change (even the morning of the rally) you are still able to join in. Let Lynne know if you can but we will always find a spot for you in a lesson. We have loose horses/ponies from time to time so we have checked our insurance situation. To have everything covered for insurance purposes our ruling for rallies is now - Any horse/pony brought onto the grounds during rally time (8.30 4.00pm) must be with the intention of being ridden by a CMPC member. The horse and rider combination must be included in the rally plan or with the DC knowledge. Any horse and rider who is not participating in the lesson must be in a horse yard or tied to float. If a rider wishes to have their horse included in any lesson but doesn t want to participate eg. Just walk around cross country with their group but not jump; this must be cleared with the DC prior to the lesson. This allows the DC or Chief Instructor to discuss this with the lesson instructor to ensure lessons are not disrupted unnecessarily. Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing those coming to FFN and all of you in your Christmas finest at rally!! Adrienne
