We have been trying to raise $35,000 for a new roof for the past three years. Now, because of the delay, we have had water damage (we don't have flood insurance) to our elevator that will cost an additional $6,000 to $10,000 to repair. The need is great. We are now doing a cash sweepstakes to raise the needed funds to cover the repairs. We need your input in purchasing tickets for the roof and in return you will have a chance to win some great cash prizes. Tickets are on sale at the lodge now for the drawing on December 24th at our member appreciation party. Please help us out. Thank you. December 3rd our Supreme Governor Willard Kitchens will visiting us during the Packer game. Come on down and meet him. Dec 16 Karaoke Contest Dec 23 Packers Vs. December 16th is the next Karaoke night to qualify for the state contest with a chance to win and go to New Orleans for the International competition and a chance for $5,000. Contact the lodge or Willie to get your songs lined up so your ready to go. December 24th will be our annual Member Appreciation party and Tom & Jerry's. Lots of raffles and fun to be had. We will be closed on Christmas day the 25th so we all can enjoy our family and friends. SPORTS Update from last month: Lloyd Jester and Larry Funk beat Doug Johnson and Andy Burger for the grand championship for the Monday / Wednesday am golf league. April 15th is set for the Monday / Wednesday AM golf meeting. Our Pool Teams took 2nd and 3rd in the State Pool Tourney. The Monday night in-house pool will finish up this month, results in January. Chairman Ron Kramer reports the winter pool will follow right away. If you want in, call me at 551.0441 and I ll let Ron know. Wednesday night pool is still a possibility. Chairman Andy Burger reports that Rich Smart had a table run for the Monday / Wednesday morning pool league. The Green Bay Packers head for the finish line. December 3rd Tampa Bay visits Lambeau Field the 10th and 17th are road games vs Cleveland and Carolina, all noon kickoffs. Dec. 23rd it s the last home game vs the Vikings, a Saturday night affair starting at 7:30 pm. New years Eve the Pack finishes in Detroit, noon start. The playoff s are still in reach. With a little luck and Packer skill, the season can continue into the playoffs. All Packer games feature a Social Quarters Party. Our giant Super Bowl party will be Sunday February 4th. The game is in Minnesota with a 5:25 pm kickoff. You can catch all the football action in our Social Quarters. Lots of big screen TV s. Notes: Sunday December 24th is our Club s annual gift to our members. Stop-in and enjoy a snack and wish your friends, new and old a Merry Christmas. Lots of raffles. Our Club will be closed that evening and Christmas Day. Tickets now on sale for this year s New Year Eve party. $20.00 gets you a fine buffet dinner by Victoria, music and dancing to the fabulous Classics and champagne toast at midnight. See you in 18. Just a few Save the Date reminders: Moose Heart Tree Lighting Trip 12/2, Cookie Sale 12/8 (bakers are still needed. 1-2 dozen small holiday cookies for boxed sale), Kid s Holiday Party 12/9. Keep your eyes open for the upcoming Christmas Eve and New Year s Eve events happening at our lodge. The Newsletter, Bulletin boards, Emails and E-Blasts will keep you informed in detail Victoria s will be preparing her famous New Year s dinner Buffet (which I heard is an unbelievable feast) Champagne Toast & Party Favors and the Classics Band as entertainment. The cost is affordable! Our next activity meeting will take place on December 5th @ 7PM with our Community Service Chairman Pam Burger hosting the event she always provides us ladies with some fun so make sure you try to attend as we love seeing new faces. Membership week (Nov. 5-11) has come and gone but what a success it was. We were able to renew +35 members and 3 new sign-ups. Don t forget, there will be 2 separate gift card drawings (men & woman) happening soon, if you were one of our attendees for membership week your name has been entered. Listen for your phone to ring as a possible winner! Thank you all who took advantage of this fun week. Higher Degree Committee held their celebration dinner/meeting back on Nov. 7th. It was a great night with good food, friends and visiting members from our other chapters in attendance. Congrats again to both Debbie Schneider & Mary Verbeten for their honors. A HUGE thank you to everyone that helped make this event a success. The Quarter Auction held on November 4th was also a well-attended event packing our back hall with vendors, food and various raffle items. Joanne Horner & Rockin Russ helped to make this event another great fundraiser. If you missed it I m sure there will be more. Thank you to everyone that donated, set up, cleaned up and also to all those who stayed to help count up all the quarters afterwards And. Women WIN! For the Cradle Fundraiser held in October.
