It takes our whole 4-H Family to make the Fair possible. Make sure to check out the Fair results on the next few pages and tell your fellow 4-H ers good job! The 2016 Fair Dates have been set for July 18th 23rd so mark your calendars! Buyer Thank yous Please make sure to send a thank you note or stop by with something to thank your Livestock and Food Auction buyers for supporting you and for supporting our County 4-H Program! 4-H Family Lake Night Aug. 14th 4-H Family lake Night will take place on Friday, August 14th at 7pm at Sheridan lake. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and s/mores will be provided by 4-H Council. Side dishes and dessert will be potluck. Bring your own place settings, a side dish or dessert, lawn chairs, yard games, paddle boats, fishing gear, or anything else for lake fun! Also bring flashlights and bug spray for after dark when we do s mores! Please RSVP to the office at 675-3268 by Wednesday, August 12th. New Twin Creeks Website The new Twin Creeks website is now live. Please take some time to look over the 4-H sections and send us any feedback you may have so we can make it as user friendly as possible! Fair Feedback Survey Please take a few minutes to send any Fair feedback you have through the survey below. We appreciate constructive comments and feedback so we can continue to improve the Sheridan County Fair! We will be trying to make Fair Book changes as soon as possible while it is still fresh so if you have any requests for additional classes or rule changes, please make sure to submit those in your survey or call the office! SID=SV_9NuF42uYxQJG48l Japanese String Garden Class On August 13th from 2pm 3:30 at the Hoxie Scout House there will be a youth horticulture class on how to make a Japanese string garden. Youth ages 7 and up are welcome. Materials and plants will be provided and cost is $10/ youth. RSVP to 675-3268 by Tuesday, August 11th. 4-H Online E-mails 4-H families will be receiving e-mails from the new 4-H Online system. Please make sure that these e-mails are not going to your junk mail! Also, you will receive e-mails from Julianne Shoup, Connie Gassmann, Patsy Maddy, or Kendra Conrad. Many notices about area and state events will be coming from Patsy or Kendra so please be sure to open these e-mails. State Fair Entries All State Fair entries need to be in the office by noon on September 10th for the office to take them down to the State Fair. Club Leader Meetings 4-H Club Leaders need to schedule a meeting time to review their 4-H year with Julianne sometime in September. This will be to give and receive feedback on your club and a time to request any resources you may need from the office. Thank you!
