Up & Coming April 6th Bobwhite counselor training April 9th poultry meeting @ Fair grounds @7pm April 13th Clover Kid Day Camp April 15th deadline to sign up for projects April 27th animal weigh in The 4-H LINK Inside This Issue: 4-H er of the Month 1 General News 2 Project News 3 State & Regional 4-H Events Council minutes 5 Calendar of Events 6 3-4-5 Henry County Extension, 120 E. Lincoln, Clinton, MO 64735 PHONE: (660) 885-5556 Member Spotlight April 4- Her of the Month is Laci Madole. Laci is 15 years old and is a member of the Clinton Cougars 4-H Club. Laci describes 4-H as being a good way to learn how to do every day things and learn how to grow and raise your own food, animals, and crops. Projects that Laci has been involved in Agronomy, Cooking, Canning, Rabbits and Poultry. Her favorite project is Poultry. The reason poultry is her favorite project is because she thinks chickens are a very interesting type of bird and are good for 3 things. They are good for egg production, meat, and for a pet that you can enjoy and love. The most important thing Laci has learned in 4-H was health and fitness. The role Laci has play in 4-H has been treasurer. She says being treasurer can be a little confusing and overwhelming at first but once she got the hang of it she loved it and she would do it again. The most exciting things Laci has done in 4-H are in blanket making, cake decorating, poultry and 4-H carnival. Laci would definitely recommend 4-H to families because it is a great way to learn about animals and foods and crafts and many other things. 4-H will teach you how to raise your own food like poultry or in gardens or how to preserve your food like poultry or in a garden or how to preserve your food like canning. 4-H is amazing in so many ways and she thinks that every kid should learn about the things she has so they can also pass on the knowledge they would get from it LINK Info Due 20th of Each Month...If you would like to include information about something your club or project group is doing, or just want to announce an opportunity for members, please send your submissions to the Henry County Extension Office by the 20th of each month.
