Bi-The-Way ~The Newsletter of Biathlon Ontario~ January 2001 Biathlon Ontario s Harassment Policy 1 Closing of Petawawa s Biathlon Facility 1 Updated and Changed Race Schedule. 2 Information on Ontario Cup #1, NORAM Cup #4, etc....3-6 Entry Form for Ontario Cup #1, NORAM Cup #4, etc...7 Biathlon Ontario s Harassment Policy Biathlon Ontario has a draft harassment policy, which can be found on the Web Page. Any comments are to be forwarded to the Executive prior to the next AGM. All points will be discussed at the AGM and acceptance of the policy with or without changes will occur at this time. The Policy will be reviewed yearly at the AGM. Until acceptance of the new policy, Biathlon Ontario will comply with the currently draft policy for this up coming race season. Closing of Petawawa s Biathlon Facility The Petawawa Biathlon Site has been closed for this season. We are unsure if it is a funding problem or a manning problem or both. Biathlon Ontario will be drafting a letter to the Base Commander to find exactly what is happening. With this unexpected turn of events two Biathlon Ontario selection races have had to be rescheduled/moved very quickly. The following changes will occur: Ontario Cup #1 - will now be in Valcartier on 13-14 Jan as part of the Noram Cup. Ontario Cup #2 in on 3-4 Feb 01 - in Ottawa Ontario Cup #4 will be held 24-25 Feb - location to be determined. We are currently looking at CFB Borden. More to follow on this.
