MUZZLE REPORT October 2017 Board of Directors Message I hope everyone had a great summer and, now that the smoke is gone, we can all get out to do more shooting without feeling like we are smoking and shooting at the same time. As I said last month, please pay attention to the proposed by-law changes and the slate of candidates for board membership as well as the new opportunity to vote by absentee ballot. The absentee ballot is another example of how the board is trying to bring as many members as possible into active participation in the running of your club. Looking over the last few newsletters, I don t see that I have much to add, so I will remember what a fellow Marine once told me: if you don t have anything to say, just sit down and shut up! Happy shooting. Muzzle Report Dave Dotterrer, President The Board is encouraging all members to receive their monthly newsletter by email. The paper newsletter costs nearly $2,000 per year to prepare and mail. That is money that could be used to complete other projects. If you able to and are interested in switching your newsletter to email, just contact me at: peterson@ashlandhome.net. Orientations Jeanne Peterson, Editor Orientations for new and returning members will be held on the first and third Saturday of October at 9:00 a.m. at the clubhouse. We will let you know when steel ammo is allowed once again. Watch for postings in the bays. Summary of AGAC September General Meeting The Board finalized the proposed Bylaw Revisions.
