Please put this date on your calendar. The meeting will be noted on the MALA website. Scott Jeffrey Rides Again! Once again, I am riding in bike MS Historic New Bern on September 8 th and 9th to support the National MS Society (it's a fundraising ride, not a race). Last year I rode the double century (100 miles each on consecutive days). This will be my fourth year with team Missing Spokes and I m trying to do another double. This year the team has the chance to reach a milestone and hit the $1M fundraising mark over the 18 years the team has been in existence. To do that we need to raise $76,000 this year; as of mid-august we are about halfway there. If you would like to support my efforts you can find my fundraising page here: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/tr/bike/nctbikeevents?px=11453792&pg=personal&fr_id=29933 The link above will remain active until the end of October. Why would I spend 6 hours on a skinny uncomfortable bicycle seat? I do it for the people I know living with MS. MALA Website Updating Continues The MALA Website (https://www.merifieldacres.org) has been undergoing a number of changes. Please pay a visit to the website to see what we re doing. Also please check out Rick Baldwin s drone video of the Merifield airport area.
