To show how to retain talent and keep the program solvent. Currently, Western is developing talent and then the talent leaves. Floor ball: through school floor hockey reach out to local schools and offer equipment to get kids interested in hockey. Gym teachers would also be given a curriculum to follow (run similar to ADM) $18-$20 / stick Power player: online resource app that allows you to do combine testing on speed stick handling. Financial Report $3,000 deposit for State Tournament, Doug will hand deliver Next rink payment is due October 1 st Board discussed families with outstanding balances. Players must be up to date with payment plans by October 1 st and will be reviewed monthly. Brendan asked to include date of when their last payment is due for next month s meeting. Cindy needs info for state tourney Deposit ($500 / team due soon). 2016/2017 Budget Updates Discipline Policy Western saved $6,000 from ProCrease and IPH Cindy to cut checks for $1000 for 3 main coaches for clinics (Bobby, Nick and Doug) We need a more efficient system to track attendance for clinics. Cindy submitted her letter of resignation. Dana Coldwell motioned to accept and John Browne seconded. All voted in Favor to accept. Locker Room monitoring Coaches BOD have decided to take the high-end tournament fee we generally pay for tournaments and divide by number of players on the selects team. Approximately $100 / child to help families with the cost of tournament since this one does not have a general tournament fee. Nick Rohde played for Western & BBD tour up his knee. He s young (20 years old) stepped up and offered to coach Bantam Team. Board was concerned he is too young to work with Bantam players. John Browne suggested we put him with younger team and move an older coach up. Bill Garvey agreed.
