Eighth Annual Torrance Rotary Club/T.U.S.D. Elementary Track Meet Schools competing this year: Friday, June 8, 2012 West High Stadium
WELCOME to the annual TUSD/Torrance Rotary Elementary Track Meet! We are excited to give the elementary students of Torrance this wonderful experience. Every student will receive a ribbon: a first, second, third place or participation ribbon for each event in which they participate. Team trophies for each grade level will be handed out at the conclusion of the meet. SPORTSMANSHIP TROPHY One of the most coveted trophies that will be presented at the end of today s meet is the Sportsmanship Trophy. Students are being judged on staying in their assigned area, their good sportsmanship, and keeping their area clean. Parents who are not coaches or team chaperones are not allowed on the track at any time as this may result in loss of points towards earning this trophy. More details about the Sportsmanship Trophy are on the following page. Please help our students as they work hard to bring the sportsmanship trophy home to their school. PICKING YOUR CHILD UP AT THE END OF THE MEET When you need to pick up your child to go home, please go around the outside of the track and check in with your school group and coaches. You will need to sign your child out to take them home. OFFICIAL TRACK MEET PHOTOS Pictures are being taken of the award stand at the conclusion of each race and each field event.
