LAURENCE GILMAN GENERAL MANAGER AN GOVERNOR, TORONTO MARLIES ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER, TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS Laurence Gilman enters his first season with the Maple Leafs after being named Assistant General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs on May 24, 2018. In his role with the Maple Leafs, Gilman holds multiple responsibilities including player personnel, managing the club's player development department and farm system, and overseeing the organization's top prospects as General Manager of the team's AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. Prior to joining the Maple Leafs, Gilman served on the NHL s Expansion raft Rules and Regulations Committee where he helped formulate and design the rules and regulations for the 2017 NHL Expansion raft. From 2008 to 2015, Gilman worked for the Vancouver Canucks and most recently served as the Canucks Vice President of Hockey Operations & Assistant General Manager, where he functioned as the team s chief negotiator of player contracts and oversaw the amateur scouting staff. He was also responsible for the application of the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement and the development of the team s salary cap plan. He first joined the Canucks as irector of Hockey Administration in May of 2008. Before joining the Canucks, Gilman was with the Phoenix Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets organization for 13 years and served as the club's Senior Vice President & Assistant General Manager from 2002 to 2007. Gilman also served as General Manager of the AHL's San Antonio Rampage and Utah Grizzlies during his time in the organization. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1991 then attended the University of North akota School of Law. He received his Juris octorate in 1994 and was admitted to the State Bar of Minnesota in 1995. Gilman and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Tyler and Samantha MIKE IXON IRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS & ALTERNATE GOVERNOR IRECTOR OF MINOR LEAGUE OPERATIONS, TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS Mike ixon enters his second season with the Toronto Marlies organization as irector of Hockey Operations and Alternate Governor. ixon was also named irector of Minor League Operations and will oversee the day-to-day operations of both the Marlies and the organizations ECHL affiliate, the Newfoundland Growlers. With more than 10 years of experience in the NHL, ixon previously held a variety of positions with the Florida Panthers including irector of Hockey Operations. ixon holds an MBA in Sports Management from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University. SHELON KEEFE HEA COACH Sheldon Keefe enters his fourth season as head coach of the Toronto Marlies. Last season, Keefe led the Marlies to the franchise s first Calder Cup championship defeating the Texas Stars in Game 7 by a score of 6-1. In his past three seasons with the Marlies, Keefe has an overall record of 150-63-11-4. uring the 2017-18 AHL season, Keefe led the Marlies to 54 regular season wins for the second time (2015-16), winning the team s second Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as first overall in the AHL standings. Keefe, 38, joined the Marlies after a successful three years as head coach for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. After joining the team as a mid-season replacement, Keefe led the Greyhounds back to the playoffs after the team missed out the previous two seasons. In the following two seasons the Greyhounds skated to a regular season record of 98-29-0-0-2 while reaching the second round (2013-14) and third round (2014-15) of the playoffs. Prior to Sault Ste. Marie, the Brampton, ON native served as GM/Head Coach of the CCHL s Pembroke Lumber Kings, leading them to five consecutive league championships (2007-2011). Sheldon has also served as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada s Men s Summer U18 team which earned a gold medal at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2015. Prior to coaching, Keefe was a standout in the OHL and named Rookie of the Year in 1999 along with an All- Rookie Team selection. He followed his rookie campaign with a 121-point sophomore season with the Barrie Colts, was named the OHL s Top Scorer and captained the Colts to the MasterCard Memorial Cup. rafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1999 NHL Entry raft, 48th overall, Keefe would skate in 125 NHL games for the Lightning before retiring after the 2004-05 AHL season.

A.J. MacLEAN ASSISTANT COACH A.J. MacLean is in his fourth season with the Toronto Marlies as assistant coach. Prior to the Marlies, MacLean served as an assistant coach on Sheldon Keefe s coaching staff in Sault Ste. Marie. The Antigonish, NS native finished a 10-year semi-professional hockey career with the undee Stars of the EIHL for three seasons before leaving to coach the Greyhounds. MacLean played junior hockey with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL, recorded 47 points in three seasons and earned QMJHL Humanitarian of the Year honours. A.J. is the son of 2013 Jack Adams award winner Paul MacLean. ROB AVISON ASSISTANT COACH avison enters his second season as assistant coach with the Toronto Marlies. rafted 98th overall in the fourth round of the 1998 NHL Entry raft by the San Jose Sharks, avison played five seasons with the Sharks and later suited up for the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey evils. The St. Catharines, ON native registered 18 points (3 goals, 15 assists) and 321 penalty minutes in 219 NHL games. In 310 career AHL games, avison collected 52 points (13 goals, 39 assists), 560 penalty minutes and was named captain of the Worcester Sharks during the 2013-14 AHL season. avison also played three seasons in Europe with HC Ocelari Trinec (CZE) and EC Red Bull Salzburg (EBEL). Following his playing career, avison transitioned into coaching. uring the 2014-15 season, avison returned to the Austrian Hockey League and joined EC Salzburg as an assistant coach where he won back-to-back Austrian Championships. Last season, avison joined the coaching staff of HC inamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and helped lead the club to a third-place finish and a KHL Garagin Cup playoff berth. JON ELKIN GOALTENING COACH Elkin joins the Toronto Marlies as the club s goaltending coach. Elkin has previously worked with goaltenders at the NHL, AHL and CHL level. Most recently, Elkin held the position of goaltending coach with the Arizona Coyotes for three seasons. He also worked with the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds and the Peterborough Petes, where he won the OHL Championship in 2004. Elkin founded Jon Elkin s Goalie Schools in 1984 which he continues to operate in Toronto. WILL SIBLEY HOCKEY OPERATIONS ANALYST Will Sibley is in his second season with the Toronto Marlies after previously serving as Video Coach and Statistical Analyst of the Kitchener Rangers (OHL). Prior to his work with Kitchener, Sibley completed his Master s degree at the University of Windsor in Sport Management. Sibley has also worked in various coaching roles with local teams and has owned Control the Crease Goaltending for the past four years where he works with elite level netminders in the Waterloo region.
