Class 1 Freeskate Skaters must have passed the complete Preliminary or Junior Bronze Free Skate test but no higher complete test Skaters must not have passed any Competitive Singles Free Skate test. Class 2 Free Skate Skaters must have passed the complete Senior Bronze Free Skate test or the Juvenile competitive but no higher complete freeskate or competitive test
Class 3 Free Skate Skaters must have passed the complete Junior Silver Free Skate test or the Pre-Novice competitive test Must not have competed at a higher level at a qualifying event Class 1 Dance One (1) partner may have passed the complete Junior Bronze Dance test but no higher complete dance test. Class 2 Dance One (1) partner may have passed the complete Senior Bronze Dance test but no higher complete dance test. Both partners must have passed the Junior Bronze dance test. Class 3 Dance One (1) partner may have passed the complete Junior Silver Dance test. Both partners must have passed the Senior Bronze dance test. Competitors can compete in two (2) events one (1) singles event and one (1) dance event Dance teams from two (2) different districts must declare their districts by December 01, 2009. Maximum of three (3) competitors / couples per event per District. Skaters must meet the test requirements as of November 16 th, 2009. Well Balanced program criteria for the Pre-Juvenile level will be used. The CPC scoring system will be used. (2) Class 2 Free Skate Skaters will perform a program of two and one half (2.5) minutes in length +/- 10 seconds. Well Balanced program criteria for the Juvenile level will be used. The CPC scoring system will be used. (3) Class 3 Free Skate Skaters will perform a program of three (3) minutes in length +/- 10 seconds. Well Balanced program criteria for the Pre-Novice level will be used. The CPC scoring system will be used. DANCE (will consist of one part only compulsory dances) (1) Class 1 Dance Skaters will skate the compulsory dances drawn for the 2010 STARSkate competition Preliminary Dance event. (2) Class 2 Dance Skaters will skate the compulsory dances drawn for the 2010 STARSkate competition Junior Bronze Dance event. (3) Class 3 Dance Skaters will skate the compulsory dances drawn for the 2010 STARSkate competition Senior Bronze Dance event.
8.0 RESULTS: In accordance with the Skate Canada Rule Book. All Free skate events will be judged using the CPC scoring system. All Dance events will be judged using the 6.0 system. Closed marking will be in effect. 9.0 TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE: In accordance with the Skate Canada Rule Book. 10.0 SPORT PROTEST PROCEDURE: In accordance with the Skate Canada Rule Book. 11.0 EQUIPMENT: Ice Surface, skates, appropriate skating attire, and music (two (2) cassettes or two (2) CD s and one (1) backup cassette). 12.0 SPORT JURY: A committee of three (3) members appointed by the Sports Committee with approval of the Technical Advisory Board: 1. Run-offs will be held according to the number of entries in each district. The top two (2) women from each Woman s event will be selected to the team.
