Meeting No 1984 Tuesday 20 th March 2018 RI President Ian H.S. Riseley District Governor Don Ripper Assistant Governor Bill Degnan Club President Andrew Bradley PRESIDENT S COLUMN Last week we had the pleasure of local artist Jeremy Casper as our guest speaker. Jeremy spoke of his 15 year artistic journey since moving to Australia from Canada and the way he uses his street art to mitigate graffiti in our town and help young perpetrators of graffiti. Jeremy has had a number of murals commissioned in the area and also exhibits oil paintings at various art shows and galleries. This week our usual dinner meeting / club planning night has been cancelled for a special open Board meeting as per the email I sent you all on Saturday morning. The agenda for this meeting is attached to that email and I encourage you all to take a few minutes to read through it and gather your thoughts about the topics listed. We want to keep the meeting to under 2 hours so any comments will unfortunately have to be as salient and concise as possible. I think it should be a great night as my experience over the last 5 years has shown me that our club is quite progressive by comparison to most other clubs in our district and our members are very willing to embrace new ideas. Please be reminded that in order to reduce the interruption level of the meals, if you wish to eat then please be at the RSL before 6.15pm so we can give the kitchen a head start on serving our meals as close to 6.30pm as possible. I look forward to seeing you all there. Keep our theme for this year in mind, Rotary: Making a Difference! ANDREW BRADLEY President Jeremy Casper discusses his contributions to our local community.
