President s Comments Greetings Fellow Columbian Club Members, Well the summer is here and boy is it going by fast I hope you all had a wonderful Father s Day. Mine was bittersweet as my Dad has been gone now for 10 years and my daughter is living in California, but I still had a great time with my wife and family. We BBQ d and took a dip in my brother s pool. I also got a great gift from my wife, a pizza oven for my backyard. Our Club is entering its busy season. Last evening (June 30th) a group of us met to make sure all is on track. Please grab your calendars and mark down the following dates (flyers are attached for all these events): Golf outing Wednesday, July23rd at Bloomingdale Golf Course. Tony A. has been dedicating a lot of effort to make this event successful. PLEASE get your reservations in and sponsor a hole or two. Boat Cruise and Dinner on the Fox River is set for Saturday, August 23rd. Frank Binetti has planned a fun night and added flexibilities that we never had in the past. Also at our June meeting four new members were sworn in; Joseph Marinacci, John Patti, Anthony Colando and Marcello Gullato, hope I got all the spelling correct, welcome to the club As you all know there is no Board meeting in July, our next Board meeting will be August. On a serious note Bob Trocchio has been in and out the hospital being treated for his cancer. I spoke to Bob briefly and you can tell he has the fighting spirit, let s keep Bob and his family in our prayers. Bob as you read this I hope you understand how many friends you have and the positive energy we are sending you, know that we are here to support you in any way you need, we re just a call or email away.
