When you play against a team at this level you can t afford to make mistakes. We played really well, but when you play a team like this you just can t afford to make mistakes. ASU used the wet conditions to its advantage throughout much of the match and limited to the 2012 Red Wolves Soccer number of scoring chances the Mean Green had. North Texas scored the match s first goal in the 17th minute on an unassisted goal from Michelle Young from just inside the goalkeeper s box. Leah Cox connected on a shot from left side of the box to give the Mean Green a 2-1 lead they would not relinquish We did well for the most part we just had a few chances where we didn t move as well as we needed to, Ziyenge said. They punished us and there is a reason why teams like this consistently one of the best in the league. They take advantage of the mistakes other teams make.
