ANNOUNCEMENT: The Levis MCC Inc, hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct the SA Historic Scramble Championship s for Senior, Junior & Rally Solo and Sidecar Classes and Pee Wee Sidecar Demonstration at ACUSA Park on Sunday October 24 th 2010. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1 The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling SA Inc which has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Numbers C10156 & C10157 is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Senior and Junior National Licences & Senior and Junior One Event Competition Licences. A Historic National One Event Licence for $77 also applies to this event for Historic Classes only but must be applied for via the Race Secretary at least 21 days prior to this event (see 2010 GCR s page 52, No. 3.1.2.4) 2.2 The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations & any final instructions approved by Motorcycling SA Inc. BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1 Entries open forthwith and close last mail Friday October 15 th 2010. ENTRIES CANNOT & WILL NOT BE TAKEN ON THE DAY. 3.2 In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Levis MCC, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling SA Inc. 3.3 Only entries received on the official entry form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. 3.4 The organisers reserve the right to refuse entries, combine classes & alter the program to suit entries and/or the conditions on the day. 3.4. NOTE:- LATE ENTRIES MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED & THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE LEVIS MCC. 4. INSURANCE: 4.1 National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2 Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees. 4.3 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: Plaques will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd placings from highest accumulated points in all events. Pee Wee Sidecar Demonstration Class shall receive participation medallions. 10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 10.1 To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be at the discretion of the organisers. 10.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition according to the organisers, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards will be at the discretion of the Club. 11. MACHINES AND RIDERS: 11.1 All machines entered must comply with the current GCRs for Motorcross competition. 11.2 Multiple entry of the one machine in the same class of competition is not permitted. 11.3 Any person other than officials are not permitted inside the circuit at any time whilst the meeting is in progress. 11.4 A lanyard operated cut out (kill switch) which will stop the engine and isolate the battery if the rider falls from the machine, must be fitted to all sidecars. 11.5 All mirrors, side and centre stands MUST BE REMOVED (rally class included). 11.6 Please replace headlight front with an approved number plate if there is no appropriate place for an easily read number. 11.7 As per previous years, Trail/Enduro solos and sidecars must be a registerable motorcycle. Converted solo motocross machines must have been ridden in at least 2 road trials this year and must still be in road trial trim (all glass removed). 11.8 Those riders competing on Thumper and Big Bore machines may also ride the Motocross or Trail/Enduro class providing the bike is eligible and by paying the appropriate fees for the extra class - eg 4 stroke machines to Trail/Enduro class, Big Bore 2 strokes to Motocross class. 11.9 Eligibility will be as per 2010 GCR s. 11.10 For definition of Pre 1975 Machinery refer to 2010 GCR s. 11.11 Number Plates, Background Colours and Figures to comply with 2010 GCR s.

.3. 12. GRID POSITIONS: To be advised at Rider Briefing. 13. RIDERS BRIEFING: A riders briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing at approx. 9:15am, which ALL COMPETITORS MUST ATTEND. NON ATTENDANCE WILL RESULT IN NO RIDING. 14. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 14.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA and MSA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority and the Motorcycling SA Drug and Alcohol Policy. 14.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prizemoney may be delayed at the Motorcycling SA Inc. discretion until the results of the tests are known. 14.3 For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7:30am with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue. 15. CODE OF CONDUCT: All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCRs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. 16. TIMETABLE: Sign On/Scrutineering - Sunday 7:30am - 8:45am ** All riders and passengers whether open, rally or demonstration class must present current National MA Licence & Log book (Juniors only) to Sign In. Riders must also come dressed in full riding gear to Scrutineering with bike/s. All licences will be held until Transponders are returned. Riders Briefing - approx 9:15am Practice - straight after rider briefing ** Practice commences with pre 1975 bikes first. Various classic & modern machinery may be combined for practice** Racing - at completion of practice 17. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: Natural Terrain incorporating undulating surface and hills. All Classes, both classic and modern will use the same track. 18. STARTS: All starts will be by drop gates. 19. RACING: ENTRIES WILL NOT BE TAKEN ON THE DAY. As per class and racing format section. Important Information for Junior Riders: A rider s age on 1 January 2010 will determine his/her age for competition that year. However, a rider may move to the next higher class when he/she becomes eligible to do so during the year, but once a rider moves to the higher age class in any competition, he/she may not go back to the lower age class. Points earned in a lower age class will not transfer to the higher class. This rule will apply to all riders up to and including 16 years old. 1. If you start in an age group at the beginning of the series and if you move up into the next age group during the year, you cannot drop back and finish the series. 2. Logbooks All junior riders MUST hand their Log Book in at Sign On. 20. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS: 20.1 Bikes are not to be ridden in the pit area. 20.2 Alcoholic beverages, dogs & smoking are not permitted in the pit area. 20.3 All riders both Junior & Senior are requested to have numbers on their back as well to make scoring easier for Lapscorers. 20.4 Extra classes entered will be at the discretion of the organisers. 20.5 Full Catering will be available from Sunday morning beginning with breakfast. 20.6 A two course dinner & full bar facilities will be available Saturday night - please note on your entry form if you will be there for catering numbers. 20.7 Camping is permitted at Acusa Park from Saturday afternoon. 20.8 If anyone is interested in being a flag marshall or finisher, they will have their admission refunded & be given food & drinks during the day. Please contact Linda for more details 0438 738 574 or note on the entry form. 21. TRANSPONDERS: Electronic Timing will be used for all State Title classes. It is compulsory to use the Transponders provided by Revolution Timing. A different transponder will be allocated for each bike. a. Transponders are the Rider s responsibility for each round hired. Any loss or damage will be charged for. b. It is the Rider s responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted properly and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the machine. Cable ties will be provided. c. It is the Rider s responsibility that transponders are returned in good condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury, before the machine leaves the pit area. d. Transponders must be picked up and returned to the designated person/s. A Competitor s MA licence will be held by this person/s and returned in exchange for the allocated transponder. MSA have agreed they will not re-issue or renew any licence of any person until the transponder is returned and/or all outstanding fees are paid. MSA will also enforce payment of any costs or fees. e. For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person/s, the Hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the designated place. Revolution Timing, 68 Dawkins Road, LEWISTON SA 5501. This includes while in transit with Australia Post and by courier. No excuse will be entertained for non delivery. It is recommended transponders be hand delivered. If returning by courier or hand delivery, please ring first 0419 008 895. f. Transponders MUST be fitted for all practice sessions NOTE: The onus is on the Guardian/Rider to ensure the correct transponders are on the correct bikes prior to each event.

.4. RALLY CLASS/ES OPEN TO SENIORS, BOTH SOLO & SIDECAR RIDERS/PASSENGERS WHO DO NOT HOLD A CURRENT MA NATIONAL COMPETITION LICENCE. THIS CLASS WILL BE RUN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE EXISTING SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS (NOTES APPLY ON PREVIOUS PAGES) PLUS ORGANISERS DECISIONS BEFORE & DURING THE MEETING.
