RACE REGULATIONS: Held under the WOMZA 2016 Race Regulations applicable to Motocross and the 2016 VMXSA Class Rules and Regulations. COURSE AND VENUE: Course/Venue is situated Syringa MX Park, Muldersdrfit, gauteng 4. ELIGIBILITY OF RIDERS: Competitors must produce a valid WOMZA motocross or Enduro license and all vintage riders should belong to a VMXSA (R200 for 2016). One Event licenses will be available at R100 per rider (excluding medical cover. Rider should be of sound health to ride).. 5. COMPETITION NUMBERS: Competition numbers for all classes will be those as issued by VMXSA. Riders may reserve a VMX racing number starting at #4 and upwards by contacting Gareth Ireland at vmxsa@live.co.za or on 082 928 3363 prior to the 18 June. 1

All numbers allocated to any class are on a first come, first entered basis. The onus is on the competitor to ensure that numbers are readable visible and not duplicated. No duplicate numbers in any one class will be allowed regardless. The organiser s decision is final, regardless of circumstances or any number allocated to any riders for club, regional or national motocross purposes. 7. RIDING GEAR: Protective clothing must be worn by all competitors, and must include: An approved helmet MX or Enduro boots Gloves MX or Enduro riding pants and shirt. 8. ENTRIES: a. Entry fee will be R400 per rider for all eligible classes. Support classes will be charged at R300 per rider. b. DOCUMENTATION AND SIGN-ON: Documentation and sign-on will take place at Global ASP Mobile Technology Centre on Saturday morning from 07H00 09H00. Any rider not signing on before the cut-off time will not be eligible to compete in the event. 12. SCRUTINEERING: Self scruitineering can be done online. Any motorcycle not scrutineered will automatically be disqualified from the event, (GCR 253). Helmet and boots are to be presented if required by the scrutineer. 13. RIDERS BRIEFING: Riders briefing will take place at the venue on Saturday morning at 09H00. Final Instructions, Starting instructions and time allowance to be announced during riders briefing on the day of the event. All competitors are to attend the riders briefing, all competitors are required to be present at the beginning of the briefing (09H00) any competitors not being present at the beginning of the briefing will not be eligible to compete in the event. 14. START: The start will be at 09H15 at directly after the riders briefing. 15. FINISH: The finish will be no later 17H30 on the 20 June. 2

COURSE: Track Description: An intermediate level track of a loamy sand material Track Specs: Distance: Approx. 1.6 km Track Direction: Anti Clockwise Start Type: Dirt Start Soil Type: Intermediate clay to Sandy. Slippery and boggie when wet. Flowing twists and turns with reasonable jumps. 17. Once a rider has achieved a 3 top 3 placings they will be automatically moved into their appropriate class. If a rider is clearly too advanced for this class, it will be at the VMXSA official s discretion to move the rider to their appropriate class. Intermediate and novice riders over the age of 18. Pre 78 Rookie riders will ride in the Pre 78 Class. 11 Modern Riders over 35 on modern 2 stroke or 4 stroke MX or Enduro 3 Support motorcycles Inter Provincial Each province will field at least 1 team consisting of 3 riders. A team must consist of a VMX Twin Shock, VMX EVO and VMX GP (Pre 96) bike and all rider must have ridden a VMX event in the past 2 years. 1 18. RESULTS: a. Lap timing will be using transponder. Note that there will be a transponders fee of R100 per rider. Results shall be announced as soon as possible after the event and shall remain provisional for a period of 30 minutes after which they will be declared as final. 19. AWARDS AND PRIZE GIVING: The prize giving will take place as soon as possible following the last heat and after the results become final. Places from 1 st to 3 rd will receive trophies. 20. MEETING POSTPONED OR CANCELLED: The Clerk of the Course reserves the right to postpone / cancel the race meeting due to inclement weather, or Force Majeur 21. ENVIRONMENTAL CODE: Riders are asked to be conscious of the environment: a. All riders are to refuel their motorcycles only in the demarcated refuelling area b. All riders are responsible for providing their own environmental mats (environmental mats may be shared) c. If riders need to work on their motorcycles, they may do so in their own designated area s, work is to be done on an environmental mat d. All riders are responsible for the removal of their own litter and waste products (including containers, old oils and fuel etc) e. Every riders pit MUST have a valid fire extinguisher. 22. Event Format and Rules: This is a club level motocross event that forms part of the VMXSA National VMX Challenge. Class eligibility is as documented in the VMXSA constitution and as listed in section 17. If any competitor is found to be contravening the class\bike eligibility rules the COC has every right to either escalate them to the appropriate class. Directions to the Syringa MX Park, Clinic Road, Muldersdrift. From Johannesburg Take the N1 highway to the Beyer s Naude offramp. If travelling from the North (Malibongwe) turn right once off the highway. If traveling from the South (14 th Ave) turn left once off the highway. Travel Northwest up Beyers Naude (M5) about 10.5 kms. You will cross over the N14 highway. The first road after you cross over the highway is Clinic road. Turn Left here. Continue along the course of the road for 2.8 km The road soon becomes dirt. Watch out for the speed bumps. Syringa MX Park is at the end of the road. From Pretoria Take the 14 highway to the Beyer s Naude offramp (M5) turn right once off the highway. You will cross over the N14 highway. The first road after you cross over the highway is Clinic road. Turn Left here. Continue along the course of the road for 2.8 km The road soon becomes dirt. Watch out for the speed bumps. Syringa MX Park is at the end of the road. 6

25. Accommodation: There will be camping available at the track with basic amenities (Showers and toilets). Camping is free of charge please just indicate if you will be camping on your entry form. Bear in mind it is in winter so may be cold at nights. For those not wishing to camp there are several bed and breakfasts and Lodges in the area.
