We here at Redding RC & Hobby Wish Mark Owens and His the best of luck. Even though we were competitors we had a working relationship to better help the customers of our fine city and outlying areas We will continue to work hard to serve the hobby community and hope to see you here. Jim Sheryl and Brad Flyin Ash Fast was a huge success with 50 pilots signed up to race and weather you would not believe for mid June. NAME THAT PLANE! Wall of Fame Dave Pruitt was first with the correct answer : Japanese Kyushu J7W Shinden for May of 2016. Jon Perry Ass. Member from So. Cal. Guessed right ; Lavochkin Lagg 3 for June 2016. Charlie Hoisington was the first to correctly identify the Name That Plane For July 2016 Russian LUN class ekranoplan, model MD-160 Or Caspian Sea Monster Used by the Russian and Soviet navy in 1945 it flies in ground effect never getting more than 30 feet above the ground or water.
Wall of Fame Page 2 Jon Perry was the first and only one to guess this months Name That Plane. It is a P-36 Hawk the predecessor to the P-40 War Hawk. Leon Alger was first to guess the German Made Volocopter Fairchild C119-2 (air Force) / R4Q-2 (Navy & Marine Corps. USA built 1947 to 1955. Dorsal fins on booms and different engines differentiate the -1 from -2. My older brother Ed flew them in the Marine Corps. Mike Morrison Was the first correct answer Larry Duncan was next followed by Dean Hancock

Well it finally happened. June 1 st 2017 Ash Creek got a new infield. JTR and Associates did an outstanding job. Maintenance and Repairs on the runway will commence this fall.
