We couldn t have asked for more perfect weather!! The sunshine allowed everyone plenty of time to enjoy the outdoor activities such as the flying fox, hut building and games. It is a great achievement for children at this age to spend a night away from home so well done everyone on your resilience and enthusiasm. It is important to acknowledge Tom Margary for the time and effort that he put into organising the camp. There is a huge amount that goes into preparing a camp to ensure that every child s needs are addressed as closely as possible. Thanks also to Jacinta Kemp, Heather Taylor, Emily Rae, Paul Traynor, Naomi Read for attending the camp on both days and to Narelle Messerle, Andrew Devisser, Candice Nyman and Joy Smith who dropped in to join in the fun. Your efforts ensured that the children who attended Adanac camp had a time that they will remember for years to come.

Prep: We had a fantastic day on Friday when we celebrated 100 days of school. We loved dressing up and looking at pictures of what we might look like when we are 100 years old. This week we also revised addition in maths and looked at hefting in classroom Maths sessions. We learnt 3/4: In reading we have worked on asking thick and thin questions during the reading process. We ve explored abbreviations and quotation marks and have been developing our ideas for our own newspaper articles. In maths groups we completed our unit on money and have explored chance in class maths. We were horrified when we did an experiment on how much sugar is in drinks. We re going to drink lots of water! 5/6: This week in 5/6 we learnt about different types of media and reliable sources. In maths we worked on elapsed time, and we continued our Author study on Jackie French in writing. We are looking forward to the round robin sports day on Wednesday.

Page 4 Extend Before and After School Care at Launching Place Primary School Our Weekly Recap What a great week! We have all been so creative. On Monday we all got to make our own sock puppets. We gave them eyes, hair, tongues and some of us even gave ours a beard. They looked great and were very fun to play with. On Tuesday we built a huge cubby house for us to all play in and built some amazing lego creations. On Wednesday we all played UNO in the morning, it was very competitive and we had to make sure that everyone was playing fairly. In the afternoon we played with the slime and played snap with the cards. On Thursday those that hadn t had a chance to make sock puppets yet got to make some. We were very excited and were ecstatic about how they turned out. On Friday we raced our toy cars in the morning and did some colouring in.
