The Giants notched a 6-3 win last night, after the Braves led 2-0 through seven innings...atlanta posted a 9-0 victory Monday, aided by a seven-run outburst in the eighth inning. The Braves committed three errors last night after having just two in their previous seven games. The Braves snapped a three-game winning streak last night, but have won five of their last eight games and entered play today in second place in the NL East division, 10-1/2 games behind Washington... Atlanta is 10-9 in the month of June. The Giants won the 2016 season series between these two clubs, 4-3...The Braves went 45-29-1 against the Giants in 20 seasons at Turner Field. Last Friday the Braves returned home to open a 10-game homestand against Miami (2-1), San Francisco (1-1) and Milwaukee (three games). This is Atlanta s longest homestand of the season... CAMARGO S STREAK: Rookie infielder Johan Camargo finished with a career-high three hits last night and notched his fourth consecutive multi-hit game...that matches the longest such streak by a Braves player since Dansby Swanson also had a four-game streak September 6-10, 2016 Camargo is hitting.643 (9-for-14) during his run, which dates to June 17 vs. Miami. TWO-OUT PRODUCTION: The Braves 141 two-out runs rank as the seventh most in the majors The 141 runs with two outs account for 43.12% of the Braves total runs (327 total) this season, the highest percentage in the NL. MAKING AN IMPACT: 1B Matt Adams went hitless last night, but in 29 games with Atlanta, he has batted.296 with 10 home runs and 27 RBI. Eighteen of Adams 34 hits with the Braves have gone for extra bases. Adams has posted four home runs and 12 RBI in his last eight games. Since playing in his first Braves game on May 21, Adams is tied for third in MLB with 10 home runs and ranks tied for second in MLB with 27 RBI, while his 18 extra-base hits rank tied for fifth. GOING DEEP: The Braves have poked 70 home runs through their first 70 games this season, compared to just 33 through 70 games in 2016...In addition, the Braves team batting average this season stands 35 points higher than at this point last season (.269/.234). RUNS-A-PLENTY: Despite being shutout on a season-low four hits last Friday vs. Miami, the Atlanta offense has plated 54 runs over the last eight games (6.8 per game). In 19 June games, Atlanta s offense has scored 103 runs for an average of 5.4 runs per game, while the club is hitting at a.283 clip...in 28 May games, the offense averaged 4.3 runs per game, following a 4.5 mark in 23 April games. POWER AT FIRST: Braves first basemen have combined to hit 24 home runs this season, the most by any single position for a Major League team...freddie Freeman hit 14 before fracturing his left wrist Yankees right fielders have 23 home runs. ENDER GETS GOING: OF Ender Inciarte went 1-for-3 with a run scored last night and since May 14, he leads the majors with 56 hits and owns the secondbest batting average among players with at least 100 ABs (.359; 56-for-156). Inciarte has collected 27 multi-hit games, which leads the team and ranks tied for sixth in MLB...Sixteen of those 27 games have come since May 14. OUCH!: The Atlanta offense ranks second in the majors with 38 hit batters this season (the Cubs have 39)...The Braves had 59 HBP all of last season (sixth in the NL, ninth in MLB). MR. CONSISTENT: OF Nick Markakis has hit.309 (17-for-55) with 12 RBI over his last 14 games...he has reached base safely via hit, walk or HBP in 40 of his last 46 games and in 60 of 70 games overall. Last Saturday, Markakis posted his seventh game this season with three-or-more hits...since making his Major League debut in 2006, Markakis ranks third in the majors in games with three-or-more hits (158)...He trails only Miguel Cabrera (177) and Adrian Gonzalez (160).
