LOSING FEELS WORSE THAN WINNING FEELS GOOD Over the past six games, the Rockies starting pitchers have posted a 3.65 ERA (37.0 IP, 15 ER) while limiting opponents to a.236 batting average 2016 Rockies vs. Dodgers (7-9) Date H/R Result WP LP 4/22 H W, 7-6 Qualls Hatcher 4/23 H L, 1-4 Maeda Chatwood 4/24 H L, 10-12 Blanton McGee 6/6 R W, 6-1 Chatwood Bolsinger 6/7 R L, 3-4 Jansen Estevez 6/8 R W, 1-0 Rusin Maeda 7/1 R L, 5-0 Norris De La Rosa 7/2 R L, 1-6 Kazmir Bettis 7/3 R L, 1-4 McCarthy Gray 8/2 H W, 7-3 Gray McCarthy 8/3 H W, 12-2 Anderson Stewart 8/4 H L, 2-4 Maeda Chatwood 8/29 H W, 8-1 Gray Maeda 8/31 H W, 7-0 Anderson Stripling 8/31 H L, 8-10 Avilan Ottavino 9/22 R L, 4-7 Avilan Logan 9/23 R 8:10 p.m. MDT 9/24 R 7:10 p.m. MDT 9/25 R 2:10 p.m. MDT 2016 vs. LAD...7-9 2016 vs. LAD at Coors Field...5-4 2016 at Dodger Stadium...2-5 All-Time vs. LAD...168-226 All-Time vs. LAD in Denver... 95-105 All-Time vs. LAD at Coors Field... 90-97 All-Time at Dodger Stadium... 73-121 COLORADO ROCKIES GAME NOTES (33-for-140). facebook.com/rockies Colorado Rockies Communications Coors Field 2001 Blake Street Denver, CO 80205 www.rockies.com AND LOOK WHO S COMING UP Nolan Arenado is first in the National League with 39 home runs and tops MLB with 128 RBI. According to Elias, he is the second player in the last 75 years to produce 125 or more RBI in consecutive seasons at age 25 or younger (Albert Pujols, 2001-02). Scored his 100th run of the season Sept. 2, becoming the first Rockies player since Carlos Gonzales in 2010 (111 runs, 117 RBI) to record 100 or more runs and RBI in the same season. WHAT A MARVELOUS MOMENT FOR BASEBALL DJ LeMahieu ranks first in the National League, and first in MLB, in batting average at.352 (189-for-537) with Daniel Murphy behind him at.347 (184-for- 530) in the NL ranking. LET S ALL TAKE A DEEP BREATH LeMahieu has reached base in a career-high 38 consecutive games since Aug. 9, the longest streak on the Rockies this season, tied for the fifth-longest in franchise history and tied for the third-longest single-season streak in franchise history has hit.420 (63-for-150) with 32 runs, 10 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 26 RBI, one HBP and 19 walks over that span with a.483 on-base percentage. He is also on a season-high 13-game hitting streak both LeMahieu s on-base and hitting streaks (13) are second to Atlanta s Freddie Freeman (42, 26) for long-active strings in MLB. YOU CAN TASTE THE PRESSURE Charlie Blackmon s.322 batting average (174-for- 541) ranks third in the NL he also ranks third in the NL with 109 runs scored, ranking just behind Nolan Arenado s 111 runs (ranks second) and ahead of LeMahieu s 103 runs (ranks fourth). Blackmon leads all NL outfielders in batting average, slugging percentage (.557), hits (173) and runs scored (108) his 28 home runs are tied for fifth. The 28 home runs are the most for a leadoff hitter in the National League since Rickie Weeks Jr. also hit 28 in 2010 with Milwaukee. His 77 RBI is a new Rockies single-season franchise record for a leadoff hitter, surpassing Eric Young s 74 RBI from the leadoff spot in 1996. HE S DONE IT Charlie Blackmon s 11-game hitting streak is his fifth string of 10 or more games this season, tied for the must such streaks in Rockies history (Larry Walker, 2002; Eric Young, 1996) his five streaks of at least 10 games are the second-most in baseball this season behind Dustin Pedroia s six streaks. GOOD IS NOT GOOD WHEN BETTER IS EXPECTED Charlie Blackmon s nine leadoff homers are the most by a Major-League player since Alfonso Soriano hit 12 from the No. 1 slot to lead off a game in 2007. It s the third consecutive year setting the singleseason franchise record for leadoff homers he hit five in 2014, six in 15 and has nine this year. His career franchise record 21 since 2013 lead all Major-League players that span. IN A YEAR THAT HAS BEEN SO IMPROBABLE A total of 12 players have made their Major League debut for the Rockies this season, tied for the most in franchise history (also: 2014) Tyler Anderson, Matt Carasiti, Stephen Cardullo, David Dahl, Carlos Estevez, Jeff Hoffman, German Marquez, Jordan Patterson, Tony Wolters, Trevor Story, Raimel Tapia and Pat Valaika have all debuted this season. Nine Rockies players have collected their first career MLB hit this season, tying the franchise record, done previously five times (1995, 2005, 2011, 2012, 2014). THE IMPOSSIBLE HAS HAPPENED The 2016 season marks the first in which two Rockies players have had five or more multi-homer games in a single season both Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon have five, tying for second in the Majors this year and tying for eighth all-time in franchise history for a single season. SHE IS GONE According to STATS, DJ LeMahieu is one of five Rockies to hit 10 or more home runs in a season while playing second base joins Clint Barmes (22, 2009), Jose Ortiz (13, 2001), Mike Lansing (12, 1998, 11, 2000) and Todd Walker (12, 2001). 20TH & BLAKE The Sports Authority ticket back discount may be redeemed at Colorado Rockies Dugout Stores for a discount of $10 on any purchase of $50 or more: www.rockies.com/dugout stores Sept. 30: Fan Appreciation Fireworks, presented by Great Clips...
