It is nice to shed that coat and soak up the warmth of the sun. This also means however, that the fall season of bowling will soon come to an end. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful time bowling this season. We had our last tournament of the fall season in March. That was the Open Tournament held at AMF. There were so many great scores bowled. The highlight for me was to see Sherry Schaarschmidt (aka: Double S) bowl her first 300 game. I was so proud of her. It was quite an event to witness. The GFUSBCA will be holding our annual meeting and volunteer recognition luncheon on April 11, 2015. We do encourage everyone to attend. During this meeting we will also be holding elections for board members. If you are interested in applying for a board position, you can download the applications on the GFUSBCA website or you can speak to any board member about the qualifications and specifications of the position. As part of our community service efforts, we are teaming up with Liberty Center and will be collecting pledges to go to Habitat for Humanity. Everyone is encouraged to help with this effort. Whether it is offering so much money per pin bowled or giving a flat one time donation, all monies will be used for our local area. There are many summer leagues that will be forming. Keep on the lookout for information about the leagues or check with your local bowling centers. I am always here to address any concerns or suggestions that you have. Don t forget that the board is a valuable resource to you.
