Aspiring to create a performance environment for Rhythmic Gymnastics to flourish in the UK RG NTC BG, 2013

We need change to progress Review of coaching syllabus Some key points: There was little extension between L1 & 2 technical content; not enough detail There was repetition between the Level 3 modules Content at Level 3, was too basic to prepare to go through the gateway to high performance Some areas of Rhythmic Gymnastics were completely missing from the technical content For example understanding the structure of music ; lifts for Group work Some areas entered the coach education syllabus too late, for example group work, duets and trios. There was a lack of continuity between coach education, the performance pathway (Nat. squad) for gymnasts and NDP

Task Coaching Syllabus Feedback on the question : A) From the HPC in your regions, what did they say was missing from their education? B) From the clubs in your regions, what do they perceive is missing in their new coaches? The gaps?
