TINSELTOWN SPORTS FALL LEAGUE 2018 COACH INFORMATION 1 GUIDELINES FOR COACHES 1) There will NOT be a coaches meeting. 2) Each weekend schedule will be available to view and download at www.tinseltownsports.com the Wednesday before play. Coaches will NOT be called with game times. 3) Teams that may be considered to be school teams that are members of the TSSAA that include the high school and middle school members may not wear any UNIFORMS that may signal what school they represent. This includes school colors names and nicknames. Also, no new, old, or practice uniforms may be worn since these are items that have been purchased by the schools. You may wear any other colors with numbers names or nicknames that you choose. Teams in the High School division of this league that have players from TSSAA member schools who will be playing on their High School team for the up coming school season may only have three (3) players on their roster from any particular high school. 4) Teams that do not choose a team name in advance will be assigned a team name. 5) League begins August 25 th - 26 th and ends October 13 th -14 th 2018 6) All games will be played at Eagleton Middle School. 7) Entry fee for the league is $390.00. Please only make one check payable to Tinseltow.n Sports Do Not send individual checks from parents. 8) All League fees must be paid in full before first game. 9) All rosters must be filled out completely and turned in before the first game. 10) All player releases must be filled out and signed, and all releases must be turned in before the first game. *A player without a completed release is ineligible to play. No exceptions. 11) If you have any requests for game times, to avoid conflicts with youth football or youth soccer, etc., please let these be known as soon as possible. Requests must be made before the Wednesday before gameplay. Schedules will not be changed once they are posted online. If you don t show up for your game, then you will be dismissed from the league and no refunds will be given. All requests must be made in writing. ABSOLUTLY NO UT FOOTBALL REQUESTS 12) Inform parents and fans that there is an admittance charge for the games. This is done on a per game basis or a league/tournament pass can be purchased. Cost will be as follows: Adult per game - $6.00 Adult pass - $40.00 Adult double pass - $50.00 Child (age 7-15) per game - $2.00 Child (age 7-15) pass - $12.00 Child double pass - $18.00 Under 6 is free A double league pass is per individual, and is used if you have more than one child playing or a player is playing on two teams.

TINSELTOWN SPORTS FALL LEAGUE 2018 COACH INFORMATION 2 13) Inform players and parents that outside food or drinks are NOT permitted. Players may bring a drink in a true sport bottle, like a team water bottle. Coolers are NOT permitted. 14) You will receive two (2) coach passes for your team. Only two (2) coaches will be allowed on the bench at any given time. If you bring an extra person to keep a scorebook for you, then that person may sit at the end of your bench, but may not assist you in coaching and is responsible for his or her own admittance. 15) We encourage you to invite the school coaches from your team to see the games. These coaches will receive free admittance when they identify themselves. 16) ABSOLUTLY NO DUNKING OR ATTEMPTING TO DUNK AT ANYTIME. Anyone who dunks or attempts to dunk before games, during games, after games, or at any other time will be dismissed from the premises and no longer allowed to participate in the league.

Tinseltown Sports 2018 Fall League TINSELTOWN SPORTS 2018 FALL LEAGUE RULES 1. Head Coach s Responsibility The Head Coach of a team is held responsible for the conduct of his/her assistant coaches, players, parents, and fans. He/she should make certain that all the tournament rules are explained to each member above. 2. Game Rules A) National Federation Basketball rules will be used unless otherwise specifically stated. B) There will be free substituting the entire game. C) Timeouts 1) Each team is allowed four 30 second timeouts to be used any time during game play. 2) For each over time, teams are granted one additional timeout. D) Game length 1) Games will consist of two halves, each lasting 20 minutes with a running clock. 2) For the 7&8 year old age division: There will be 4, 8 minute quarters with a running clock except for the last two minutes of the 4 th quarter. 3) The clock will stop only for timeouts, officials timeouts, and during the last two minutes of the second half. a) The clock will not stop during the last two minutes if a team leads by 20+ points. 4) Overtime will last two minutes, with the clock stopping the last minute. If games are running behind, overtime will have a running clock. 5) Mercy Rule: Teams leading by 25+ points in the second half may not apply backcourt pressure. The first violation of the backcourt pressure rule will result in a warning. Subsequent violations will result in an administrative technical and the other team will receive one foul shot and the ball out of bounds. E) A player can only play on one team in his/her age division, unless prior permission acquired from the Tournament Director. F) Roster 1) All players must be listed on the first players roster 2) Each team must submit a players roster to the score keeper prior to the start of each game. 3) Full names and numbers must be listed on the roster. G) Basketball size 1) Boys 5 th grade and younger will use a 28.5 inch ball. 2) Boys 6 th grade and older will use a 29.5 inch ball. 3) All girls games will used the 28.5 inch ball. H) Bench Personnel A team may have on its bench only the eligible persons listed on its official roster. 1) No more than two coaches 2018 Tinseltown Sports

Tinseltown Sports 2018 Fall League J) Any team that receives four technical fouls in the same game will automatically forfeit the game. 3. Behavior A) Only the Head Coach may address officials. 1) If a head coach is assessed a technical foul, all bench personnel must remained seated for the remainder of the game. 2) A second technical foul will result in an ejection and game play will not continue until the coach leaves the gym. B) No continuous yelling will be allowed or permitted as part of coaching from the bench. 1) If players do not know where to go or be, then coaches should call a timeout and make adjustments. 2) Only one warning will be given, prior to receiving a technical. C) Cursing, taunting, fighting, or other behavior deemed inappropriate will be an automatic technical foul. 1) A player or coach receiving two technical fouls will be ejected from the game. 2) An ejected player or coach my not participate in the next game. D) Coaches are responsible for the behavior of his or her fans; therefore, any behavior that is not permitted by players is thus not permitted for fans. E) Coaches, players, and fans should respect the opposing team during foul shots. F) Ejections 1) First ejection (for bench personnel and players) will result in suspension from the game and removal from the gym. Moreover, anyone ejected is not allowed back in the gym for the remainder of the game, and game play will not resume until the ejected individual exits the gym. 2) Second ejection (for both bench personnel and players) will result in a suspension for the remainder of the tournament. 4) ABSOLUTLY NO DUNKING OR ATTEMPTING TO DUNK AT ANYTIME. A) Anyone who dunks or attempts to dunk before games, during games, after games, or at any other time will be dismissed from the premises and no longer allowed to participate in the event. B) The team the violating player belongs to will be assessed a double technical foul for the current or next game. 5) Winners will be selected by several factors (in no certain order): A) Win / Loss record B) Head to Head record C) Points allowed per game D) Points scored vs. points allowed, up to 15 points (+/---) per game E) If a tie remains a coin toss will determine the bracket winner(s) 6) Fees and Admission A) Entry feeds must be paid before a team competes in their opening game. B) The only people who may enter without paying admission will be players and 2018 Tinseltown Sports

Tinseltown Sports 2018 Fall League two coaches for each team. Up two coach passes will be given per one team. Coach passes are for bench coaches only. B) For the first game for the day, the gym will open no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game time 8) Equipment Each team is responsible for its own warm---up basketballs. Basketballs should be adequately marked and properly stored away during games. 9) The tournament directors reserve the right to make any alterations, decisions, or modifications. Furthermore, that there may be risks not known to all parties or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. AND Assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury, permanent disability or death. AND Have obtained from each parent/guardian their agreement to release, waive, discharge and covenant not to bring suit against any of the event administrators, directors, agents, coaches, employees, volunteers, and/or owners of the premises to be used to conduct the event, and release all of the aforementioned parties from any and all liability to each player, parent, or guardian, heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to have been caused in whole or in part by negligence of the aforementioned parties. AND I have fully explained to the participants and their parents or guardians the risk involved in playing in the upcoming tournament, and I/we fully understand that we give up substantial rights by signing this agreement.
