ROYA BOWLING TEAM REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS NOTE: Team Captains must FIRST register your team, before your team members can join your team. (Share your team name with team members ASAP.) Bowling Team Captains: o Start with step #1 (single registration for yourself only) OR o Step # 19 (multiple registrations for you and your team members) Bowling Team Members who want to join a registered Team: Start with step # 17.
ROYA BOWLING TEAM REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS Instructions for all Team Captains 1. Visit the Royal Oak Youth Assistance website: http://www.royaloakyouthassistance.com and click the menu named Bowl-A-Thon to open the Bowl-A-Thon page. 2. On the next page http://www.royaloakyouthassistance.com/bowl-a-thon/ you will see a page similar to the image below click the blue link where the red arrow points.
3. Next you should see a web page similar to the image below. (Our custom website inside the Firstgiving platform is what you are seeing.)to register as a BOWLING TEAM click the green Register button. 4. Next you will see this window pop-up make ONE choice (ROYA Bowling Team Registration): a. TO REGISTER JUST YOURSELF AS THE TEAM CAPTAIN: Select 1 under the Quantity column. b. If you want to register yourself PLUS other team members, go to # in this document. c. Next click the green Register button. Reminder: Bowling Team members are automatically registered to bid in the Online Auction-NO NEED to register as an Auction Bidder.
5. Once you click the green Register button, you will see the screen below: Fill out all the Your FirstGiving account information. Please review the Terms and conditions. Click the green Next button. a. This is what the screen looks like for ONE registrant. (Terms & conditions in brief: you must register, you are responsible for raising $100 as a team member (personally and/or thru people you approach), use the website responsibly.)
6. Next you see this window pop-up click second choice I want to create my own team. Then click the green Next button. (If you want to join an existing team, jump to step #14 in this document please.) 7. Fill in Team information Team image is optional. Your minimum team fundraising goal is $500.
8. Fill in the blanks on this next page and click the green Next button.
9. Fill in your own Personal Fundraising Page information - this will be seen by those you approach to donate toward your goal so it is quick and easy for them to participate. See next page.
10. Each bowling team member should plan to raise $100 minimum. We recommend you create your own Personal Fundraising Page, so it is easier to quickly explain your role in the event, and why you want to raise money for ROYA. You may make the first donation if you like. Then click the green Next button.
11. Fill out your credit card information please (for your own donation), and click the green Submit button.

This is an example of what a complete TEAM REGISTRATION looks like: (YOUR information will be on your page) NOTE: If you lose this link to your information, it is automatically emailed to you after you logout. Also, just login to your Firstgiving account (which you created when you registered as a bowler on the ROYA Firstgiving website) and it will be available there too. (NEXT PAGE PLEASE)
13. This is what your new registered Team Page looks like:
14. To join a team that has already been created and registered by a Team Captain on the ROYA FirstGiving website, you have two choices: a) Ask your Team Captain for the Team Page link. OR b) Put this link in a browser window (or click the link if you are viewing this on your computer, to launch your browser window): https://www.firstgiving.com/royaloakyouthassistance/roya-bowl-a-thon-march-5-2017 15. You should see a web page similar to this click the green Register button.
16. Next you will see the webpage shown below. a. Click the first choice I want to join an existing team. b. Then, enter the team name provided by your Team Captain in the search box. c. Click the search button next to the team name you entered in the search box. d. Click the team name that is found to choose it. e. Click the green Next button last.
17. If your Team Captain already registered you on the team, you can easily create your own fundraising page separate from your Team fundraising page. Choose the blue link below the Register button. 18. Enter the YOUR name in the fields shown in this image: When your name is found as registered, follow the prompts to register on that bowling team.
19. To register multiple team members at one time, as a Team Captain: a. Select 5 under the Quantity column if registering yourself AND your other 4 team members (or however many you know of right now.) a. This is what the screen looks like if you chose 5 registrants (example you + 4 team members.)
Just register one team member at a time, SAVE and you are finished. NOTE: You should receive a series of email confirmations: #1 - Team Captain notification #2 - First Giving page #3 - Registration confirmation #4 - Welcome from First Giving - this email contains a link for any questions, etc.
