The Football Bear Promise And Team Rules

The Bear Promise 1. I promise to demonstrate respect to all people at all times. 2. I promise to work hard and sacrifice personal glory for the welfare of the team. 3. I promise to represent Palmer Ridge High School with pride, honor, and integrity at all times. 4. I promise to be a positive role model around my peers, and to those that look up to me. 5. I promise to give my best effort and attitude both in the classroom and on the field in a commitment to excellence in all I do. 6. I promise to uphold the values and standards of the Palmer Ridge High School Football Program that include, but are not limited to our 8 pillars (Believe, Commitment, Relentless, Brotherhood, TEAM before me, Passion, Attitude, and Trust). I understand that if I am found guilty of not upholding these standards that I am compromising the integrity of the team and upon the third strike I will be removed from the program for the remainder of the year. 7. I understand that if my actions are participation in toxins I compromise the integrity of the Palmer Ridge Football program and therefore I promise to not use pot, other illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products and that I will not engage in any other activities that may compromise the integrity of the PRHS Football Program. I understand that if I am found guilty of not upholding these standards that I am compromising my integrity and the integrity of the team and upon the third strike I will be removed from the program for the

remainder of the year. I understand that by doing the right thing, I can reach my full potential as a student/athlete. 8. I promise to be at practice. I understand that there are requirements for attendance at practice and failure to meet those requirements may lead to consequences including but not limited to: a.) A predetermined number of Bear Prides (a conditioning drill). b.) Sitting out 1 quarter of a game, 1 half of a game, or a full game. c.) Sitting out 2 games. d.) Removal from the team for the year. 9. I promise to be at team meetings on time (when they are scheduled), based on the team that I am on. Failure to do so will result in not being able to start, or loss of playing time, as the Palmer Ridge Football Coaching Staff sees fit. 10. I promise to act and play like a winner regardless of the outcome. The Bear Team Rules We, as members of this TEAM, understand the importance of commitment and discipline. We realize that for us to be successful as a TEAM we must work together from the team managers to the Head Coach. In the pursuit of EXCELLENCE, it will take TEAMWORK for us to be real winners. Therefore, we understand and accept the following rules and guidelines as part of our Commitment to Excellence. 2015 Team Rules: 1.) DO THE RIGHT THING! 2.) Put up or shut up. 3.) 100% Commitment / Zero Excuses. 4.) Commit to Excellence in all that we do. 5.) Expect to Win. Prepare to Win. Execute to Win. BELIEVE. NO EXCUSES!

PARENTS MUST MAKE A PHONE CALL WHEN YOUR SON CAN T MAKE PRACTICE, CALLTHE CORRECT COACH PLEASE. Varsity: Coach Pulford 719-867-8149, (JV) Coach Gordon 719-867-8120, (C-team) Coach Miller 719-930-2260 1. Late for a meeting or practice. 300 yard roll 2. Missed practice For an absence to be excused a parent must contact coach via voice mail! *Excused Practice 1.) Head Coach s Discretion Baseline: 1st Offense = 2 Bear Prides 2.) Head Coach s Discretion Baseline: 2nd Offense = 4 Bear Prides Plus a conference with Head Coach & Position Coach 3.) Head Coach s Discretion Baseline: 3rd Offense = 4 Bear Prides Plus conference with parents & Head Coach (1 game suspension & not on sidelines with team.) *Unexcused Practice 1st Offense = 4 Bear Prides plus Miss ½ a game. 2nd Offense = 5 Bear Prides plus 1 game suspension, not on sidelines with team. Conference with parents & Head Coach. 3rd Offense = Dismissal from Team 3. Ineligibility 3 Bear Prides per day UNTIL OFF LIST Not able to play per PRHS athletic policy. 4. PRHS or LPSD Disciplinary Infraction HEAD COACHES DISCETION

ONCE THIS PAGE IS TURNED IN, YOUR SON CAN GET A COPY OF THE 2013 PRHS FOOTBALL PLAYBOOK. PLAYBOOKS ARE WORTH $100 EACH IF LOST, STOLEN OR OTHERWISE UNACCOUNTED FOR AND PLAYERS WILL ONLY BE DISTRIBUTED A PLAYBOOK UPON THIS PAGE BEING SIGNED BY THE PLAYER AND A PARENT OR LEGAL GAURDIAN. I have read and fully understand and accept the Bear Rules as stated above, and I will accept any consequences of violating these Team Rules. I agree to keep my promises at all times and realize if I choose to break any of these promises it can result in no longer having the privilege of being a Palmer Ridge Bear football player.
