CROWD MANAGEMENT AND GAME SECURITY MASTER PLAN FOR GLEN ROSE I.S.D. 2012-2013 Preface Glen Rose High School Plan Of Security For Athletic Functions This guide will define our procedures, staff, and security roles, and communication with visiting schools. We feel the importance of this guide is to provide preventive measures to assure the safety of all events, participants, and their fans. 18

Staff and Security Personnel Roles The following provisions will serve as a guide for administrative and security personnel assigned to athletic events. 1. Security personnel will consist of 2 uniformed officers and 5 district personnel at each home varsity football game. 2. Security officers will be hired for all varsity football and basketball games. Security for other athletic events will be evaluated on an individual basis regarding to the need. The high school principal will be responsible for determining the needs for athletic events other than football and basketball. 3. Each officer assigned to work at an athletic event will be given a clearly written description of the duties to be performed and the location where they will be located. 4. A combination of officers and school administrators will be positioned at each event to insure proper control of fans (i.e. four security officers andlor administrators will be positioned at the four corners of the field). 5. The "Designated Administrator" at each game will meet the officials and representatives from the visiting school to review game security prior to and following each event. This administrator will should the need arise promptly report any unsportsmanlike conduct to the administration of both schools. 6. A uniformed officer will: (1) accompany officials and teams onloff the field, (2) accompany money to the building. 7. Football scrimmages will be afforded the same security measures as a district game. 8. The Glen Rose ISD. will ban from any school-sponsored event (i.e., not limited to athletic competitions) any individual who has been successfully prosecuted for his/her criminal offenses at GRISD events.. 9. All district guidelines concerning visiting team and spectator safety shall be rigidly enforced by district personnel. Note: See the next page for a breakdown in duties for the Staff and Security Personnel Roles. 19

Staff and Security Personnel Duties Officers at Varsity Football Games (See "Specific Security Officer Duties" page for further information-next page) Officer 1 will: 1. Be stationed on the home side; 2. Assist in escorting officials on/off the field (half-time and conclusion of the game); 3. Assist in keeping fans and students seated in the stands; 4. Periodically check with ticket booth personnel as needed in emergency situations; 5. Accompany money to the building; 6. Following the game, remain until spectators have exited the stadium.
