PROPERTY TAX UPDATE The Board of Directors has voted to retain an attorney to help in our appeal process to avoid what may be an increase in Lodge 590 property taxes by as much as $30,000. The B.O.D. has filed an appeal for exemption with the City. We have unfortunately not received any help and almost no advice from our National and State associations. We are apparently on our own. The B.O.D. hopes the help of an attorney will make the difference before the assessment takes place in the fall of 2017. GENERAL MANAGER S REPORT It is feeling like spring out there. We are getting close to golf time. We will let you know as soon as Superintendent Ned Giles is ready to place the pins. Once the course is open we will be here seven days a week in the Pro Shop. Included in this bulletin is a fee sheet for the 2016 recreational season. We ask you to fill out one of these sheets when you make your choices of the services you want this year. We do not automatically assume you will make the same choices as last year. Two things to remember, first membership cards will be sent out shortly. If you do not receive a card you either have not paid your dues or as new member you have not attended an initiation. The social dues are to be paid by April 1st, 2016. Please contact Kevin at 351-3700 if you would like to fulfill your initiation requirement. Secondly we will reopen for lunches on Monday, April 4th, serving Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. POOL FUNDRAISER UPDATE As of February 22nd we have collected $5,500 in cash and pledges toward our goal of $50,000 for pool improvements.
