Nomination Criteria 4.1 Nomination Criteria: The Hockey New Zealand Nomination Criteria for nomination to the Games Team is made up of two parts: the Over-Riding Nomination Criteria specified in clause 4.2; and the Specific Nomination Factors specified in clause 4.3. 4.2 Over-Riding Nomination Criteria: In determining whether or not to nominate a team to the Men s and Women s Hockey five-a-side, the NSO Selectors must be satisfied overall that the Team: i. has a track record of sufficient quality and depth that the NSO believes demonstrates the Team will be competitive at the Games and will perform credibly, and with distinction, in the Event, and ii. iii. iv. is nationally competitive (it is expected that the NSO will be nominating a team that will be comprised of individually and collectively the best athletes available for selection in the applicable age group), and has competed at a recognized international/continental event for their sport finishing with a competitive result, and whether the Team s NSO has a well-developed High Performance Program with a senior team that is on track to reach the NZOC team performance criteria for the Summer Olympics. Evidence: In determining whether or not a team has met the Over-Riding Nomination Criteria for the event listed in clause 4.2 above, the NSO Selectors shall consider the team s performances and results and individual athletes performances in the following Key Events during the period 1 April 2013 to 1 June 2014: i.
