VBMA ACTIVITIES IN JUNE The Interbank Offsite 2018 The Interbank Offsite 2018 event was held in Da Nang City from 15 to 17 June 2018 with the participation of more than 600 people from domestic and foreign financial institutions and also representatives from State agencies. The first activity of the 10th Interbank Offsite was the Workshop Financial Market Development in Industrial 4.0 Revolution Era and Its impact on Vietnam Financial Markets. With more than 300 participants and experts from domestic and regional markets, the Workshop discussed extensively about the application of Fintech and treasury management system as well as the trend of the market in the later half of 2018. After the Workshop, hundreds of Interbank Offsite participants took part in the exciting Interbank Pool Party with joyful music and dancing performance and contest. On the 16th of June, a series of sporting events took place including: VBMA Interbank Golf Tournament, Interbank Tennis Tournament, Interbank Football Match, Interbank Poker Tournament and the Gala Dinner in the evening. At the Gala Dinner, participants had the opportunity to enjoy unique, well-prepared Interbank Got Talent performances as well as performances put up by professional singers and dancers. Several lucky audiences of the Gala Dinner received 2 pairs of international round-trip tickets, a pair of domestic round-trip ticketss from Vietjet Air, and 1 iphone X after the Lucky Draw programs. Also at the Gala Dinner, the VBMA Charity Foundation was launch. During the night, through the auction and silent auction, VBMA has raised a total of 99 million dong for charity. In addition, the first VBMA Charity Run took place at Interbank Offsite 2018 on the morning of June 17, with the Poker Interbank Prize raised 24.8 million dong for the VBMA Charity Foundation. These activities in this Interbank Offsite greatly helped enhance the solidarity between financial markets players and created good conditions for networking and experience-sharing. Workshop Financial Market Development in Industrial 4.0 Revolution Era and Its impact on Vietnam Financial Markets The workshop was the first in the series of events of the 10th Interbank Offsite event held from June 15th to 17th in Da Nang. The seminar is divided into three parts: the first part is the talk on Fintech, the second part is the treasury system and the third one is the forecast of the movements of bond, FX and money markets in the second half of 2018. Sports Competition at the 10th Interbank Offsite Within the 10th Interbank Offsite, many sporting events has taken place during 16th and 17th of June. A series of sports competition was taken place on June 16. Kicking off by the VBMA Interbank Golf Tournament and VBMA Interbank Tennis Tournament held in the morning and then VBMA Interbank Poker Tournament and VBMA Interbank Football Game was held in the afternoon. Early in the morning of June 17, the VBMA Charity Run was held for the first time at Interbank Offsite with the participation of many individuals from financial institutions. The Launch of VBMA Charity Foundation at the Gala Dinner 2018 On the occasion of 10th Interbank Offsite Anniversary, The VBMA Charity Foundation is launched. 123,800,000 đồng has been raised in which 87 million raised at the live auction at Gala Dinner and 12 million raised via silent auction and 24,8 million raised from VBMA Charity Run and Poker Tournament. Final results, performance "The Technology Warriors" from VPBank won the Champion, Avenger 2018: The rise of the interbank from BIDV came in Second, and ABBA Medley from Vietcombank came in Third. VBMA had a meeting with Moodys discussing future opportunities for collaboration On June 29th, representatives from Moody's shared with VBMA information about Moody's credit rating services and Moody's development outlook for the Asia Pacific region. VBMA summarised member s comment on the two draft Circulars issued by Ministry of Finance In June, VBMA received and consolidated many comments from VBMA members on the draft Circular guiding the issuance and repayment of Government debt instruments in the domestic market and the draft Circular regulating the redemption, swap of Government debt instruments, Government bonds and Municipal bonds in the domestic market issued by Ministry of Finance State Bank of Vietnam Issued Circular No. 15/2018/TT-NHNN On June 18 th, State Bank of Vietnam issued Circular No. 15/2018/TT-NHNN Amendments to the Circular no.22/2016/tt-nhnn dated June 30th, 2016 by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on purchase of corporate bonds by credit institutions and branches of foreign banks. The Circular will take effect from August 2 nd 2018 23
