CHAPSUK Don t forget the Young judges Competition At the CHAP Sspring Festival Show RING ONE SATURDAY 13th April 2013 Open to CHAPS UK members who have attained their 8th but not their 23rd birthday before1st January of the current year. WHAT WILL YOU HAVE TO DO? Four ridden animals (various types); the class will be judged as an open ridden class of mixed types. You will be given CHAPS UK marks sheets which will be submitted at the end of the class. You can make notes. STAGE 1: Ride out and exhibits pulled in any order. STAGE 2: Individual Shows (Young Judges will NOT ride exhibits). STAGE 3: Conformation (Groups of 2/3 - grid formation). Each group of young judges gets 3 minutes to look around the animal, this is timed. STAGE 4: Show interview with the 2 panel judges who were also judging the class. INTERVIEW Interviews will be 5-10 minutes each and very informal, covering: Your final class placings, and why; Basic Rules of CHAPS UK. ENTRY FEE 5.00 per Young Judge. PRIZES Champion Individual Young Judge - will receive the Tara O Hara Trophy kindly donated by Mr & Mrs W Hamilton, and a FREE Membership for the following year with CHAPS UK. Opportunity to shadow a Senior Judge at the CHAPS Championship Show. 2nd-6th placings will be awarded in the Individual Young Judges Competition. Team Competition - 1st-3rd placings.
