Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET live on the American Sports Network. Georgia State (6-2) has not played since a 24-point win over Green Bay on Dec. 4. The Panthers will put their five-game winning streak on the line. Georgia State has won 28 of its last 33 games dating back to last season, including 12 of its last 16 true road games. Old Dominion (7-1) is receiving votes in both the AP and ESPN/Coaches Poll and is ranked No. 27 in the NCAA RPI released on Monday. The Panthers are No. 47 in the same ranking with five of their 11 non-conference games coming against top 25 competition. Georgia State is led by the scoring duo of junior R.J. Hunter and senior Ryan Harrow. The two are averaging 43.2 points per game, the most of any duo in the country. Hunter, who has scored 1,317 points in his two-plus seasons, is the NCAA career active leader in points scored among all juniors. The key to Georgia State s success has been on the offensive side of the ball. The Panthers are shooting 50.9 percent from the floor this season, 9th-best in the NCAA. Georgia State is also knocking down 40.9 percent from 3-point range, 23rd-best in the nation, averaging 77.3 points per game. Both shooting percentages are tops in the Sun Belt. Our team has learned to play well on the road, head coach Ron Hunter said. We were tested earlier this season and I have no doubt in my mind it has made us a better team. Old Dominion has always been a tough place to play. They have a very good team and Wednesday will be a great challenge for our program. R.J. Hunter was named Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year and is averaging 23.3 points per game this season, the fifth-best mark in the NCAA. He has been named to both the John R. Wooden and Naismith Watch List which recognize the top 50 players in the country. He enters Wednesday in the top-10 in several career statistical categories in Georgia State history. Hunter is fifth in points (1,317), second in 3-pointers (199), 11th in field goals made (415), eighth in free throws made (288), second in free throw percentage (83.0), third in 3-point attempts (526), seventh in 3-point percentage (37.8) and seventh in steals (136). With his 72nd career start on Wednesday, he will move into Georgia State s top 10. Harrow joined Hunter as an All-Sun Belt Preseason first-team member and on the Lou Henson Preseason Watch List as one of the top mid-major players in the country. (cont. page 3). The Panthers were unanimously selected by the Sun Belt Conference head coaches to win the league once again this year. Georgia State has won 28 of its last 33 games dating back to last season, including 27 of 30 regular season games. The Panthers 5-game winning streak is tied for the 17th-longest in the country as of Monday. The Panthers have won 12 of its last 16 true road games dating back to last season. Georgia State and Old Dominion enter Wednesday night s game both ranked in the top 50 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings. The Panthers have been has high as 41 this season and are currently 47. ODU is No. 27 and receiving votes in both the AP and ESPN/Coaches Poll. Georgia State enters the week ranked No. 11 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25. The highest the Panthers have been this season is No. 9. R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow are combining to average 43.2 points per game, the most of any duo in the country. With 1,317 points, R.J. Hunter is the No. 1 active scorer in the NCAA of all third-year players. The Panthers are playing a tough non-conference schedule. By the NCAA RPI, Georgia State already owns a win over then No. 1 Green Bay (Currently No. 11 and will face the Phoenix again Dec. 27), have tough losses to No. 12 Colorado State and No. 24 Iowa State and will face No. 27 Old Dominion on Wednesday. GSU plays only 11 non-conference games this year. Georgia State is currently riding a 15-game home-court winning streak which is tied for the 8th longest in the country with Virginia, Eastern Michigan and North Dakota State. The Panthers went 13-0 at home during the 2013-14 season and are 2-0 in 2014-15. Duke has won 37-straight home games for the longest streak in the country. Under head coach Ron Hunter, the Panthers are 37-10 in the GSU Sports Arena, a winning percentage of 78.7. Georgia State is 9th in the NCAA with a 50.9 field goal percentage and 23rd with a 40.9 3-point field goal percentage. Both marks are tops in the Sun Belt. The Panthers have already had two of the top-10 field goal and 3-point field goal single-game shooting percentages in school history this year. Georgia State is among the top 15 in the NCAA in two key stats. The Panthers are 14th in the nation averaging 9.9 steals per game and 9th in turnovers margin, currently at +5.5 per game. Only six times in program history has a Panther averaged 20 or more points a game in a season. GSU currently has one accomplishing the feat and one just barely off. R.J. Hunter leads the Sun Belt and is fifth in the nation with a 23.3 points per game average, while senior Ryan Harrow is third in the Sun Belt and 24th in the nation with a 19.9 points per game average. The last time it happened was when Thomas Terrell averaged 20.5 point per game during the 2001-02 season. The record is held by Ron Ricketts who averaged 21.1 points per game during the 1970-71 season. R.J. Hunter has been named to the prestigious John R. Wooden Watch List and Naismith Trophy list as one of the top 50 players in the country to watch. Junior R.J. Hunter was named the 2014-15 Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year and earned preseason all-conference first-team honors along with Ryan Harrow, while senior Curtis Washington was named to the third team. Junior R.J. Hunter is quickly moving up the ranks of several all-time records. Inside the # s: - Points: currently 5th with 1,317; 198 shy of Rodney Hamilton s 1,515-3-point Field Goals: currently 2nd with 199; 41 shy of Shellord Pinkett s 240-3-point Field Goal attempts: currently 3rd with 526; 111 shy of Shellord Pinkett s 637 - Free throws made: currently 8th with 288; 74 shy of Phillip Luckydo s 361 - Free throw percentage: currently 2nd at 83.0 percent;.008 behind Rodney Hamilton s school-record of 83.8 percent. - Steals: currently 7th with 136; 76 shy of Rodney Hamilton s 212 Head coach Ron Hunter continued a trend of bringing high-major transfers back to Atlanta. Late last spring, Hunter announced that Kevin Ware would be returning home (Conyers, Ga.) after three seasons at Louisville. Ware is unfortunately most known for a gruesome leg injury that he suffered during the Cardinals run to a national championship in 2013. The list of highmajor transfers to the Panthers includes Ryan Harrow (Kentucky), Manny Atkins (Virginia Tech) and Jeremy Hollowell (Indiana), who will be eligible for the Panthers in 2015-16. R.J. Hunter became the 18th Panther to score 1,000-points in his career, needing just 55 games, the second fewest in program history (Phillip Luckydo - 49 games), accomplishing the feat against Troy (Feb. 15, 2014). Ryan Harrow is on pace to become the 19th Panther to reach the mark for GSU after scoring 604 points last year. Ron Hunter won his 50th game as the head coach of Georgia State against UL Lafayette last season, accomplishing the feat quicker than any previous Panther coach. Head coach Ron Hunter owns the records for the most wins in his first season, first two seasons and first three seasons of any coach in program history. In his first three seasons, he won 62 games, surpassing the total of Hall of Fame coach Charles Lefty Driesell who won 50 games during his first three seasons. Driesell won 79 games in his first four seasons, including the school-record 29 wins during the 2000-01 season. Hunter currently has 68 wins in his fourth season.

Georgia State Men s Basketball Notes (page 3) Following a junior season in which he scored 604 points, tied for fourth most in program history, he could become just the fifth Panther to reach the 1,000-point career plateau in two seasons. He enters Wednesday with 763 points at GSU. He is currently averaging 19.9 points per game, third in the Sun Belt and 23rd in the nation. He is leading the league and standing 21st in the nation averaging 5.9 assists per contest. Harrow is also shooting 40.0 percent from 3-point range. Notes: R.J. Hunter is just 198 points shy of tying GSU s all-time scoring mark of 1,515 points. Ryan Harrow recorded 144 assists last year which was tied for the seventh most in a single season in school history. He already has 47 assists this year, giving him 191 in 42 games. He easily could move into the top-10 in assists (min. 257) for a career despite only playing two seasons for Georgia State. Kevin Ware has shown why many consider him one of the best defenders in the Sun Belt. He is averaging 2.1 steals per game, tops in the league and second on the team only behind R.J. Hunter s 2.5 per contest. He is averaging 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Junior T.J. Shipes made his first start of the season against Green Bay and recorded his first career double-double, scoring a career-high 11 points and grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds. Junior Markus Crider, who is averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, is shooting 70.6 percent from the floor, the No. 1 mark in the Sun Belt. Georgia State is 14th in the NCAA averaging 9.9 steals per game and 30th in turnovers, giving up the ball just 11.1 times per game. The Panthers finished second in the nation last year averaging just 8.1 turnovers per game and were 31st with 7.6 steals per contest. Old Dominion leads the all-time series with Georgia State 15-5, but the Panthers have won three straight, including 79-73 win in Atlanta last season. Following the game on Wednesday, Georgia State will return to the court on Sunday hosting Southern Miss at 2 p.m. in the GSU Sports Arena. DEFENDING CHAMPS In its first year back in the Sun Belt Conference, Georgia State easily won the regular-season title with an impressive 17-1 conference mark, winning the league by five games. The title was the Panthers first since the 2001-02 season. The Panthers were selected unanimously by the league s head coaches to repeat as champions this year. Georgia State finished the season 25-9 and advanced to the Postseason NIT. During the year, Georgia State won a schoolrecord 14-straight games and had a stretch of 22 wins in 23 games. NO. 1 DUO R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow make up the No. 1 scoring duo in the country. Both are in the top 25 in scoring and combined are averaging 43.2 points per game. Here are the top tandems: 1. Georgia State (R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow): 23.3 + 19.9 = 43.2 2. Iona (A.J. English and David Laury): 24.4 + 18.3 = 42.7 3. Eastern Wash. (Tyler Harvey and Venky Jois): 20.5 + 20.3 = 40.8 SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUT In two of the Panthers first six games, Georgia State has had two of the best single-game shooting percentages and 3-point field goal percentages in the history of the program. It should be no surprise that the Panthers are shooting 50.6 percent, the 13th-best mark in the NCAA and 40.9 percent from 3-point range, the 30th-best mark in the nation. GSU dished out 27 assists (on 40 FGs), setting a school record and eclipsing the previous high of 26 which last occurred in 1992. The 115 points scored represented the fourth most in school history and the most since scoring 109 against UC Irvine in 1998. It is only the fourth time the school scored more than 110 points. Shot 62.5 percent from the floor, the 10-best mark in school history. Shot 61.9 percent from 3-point range, ranked 8th in school history. As of the Monday NCAA RPI, Georgia State already owns a win over No. 1 Green Bay (72-48) and will play the Phoenix again on Dec. 27. The Panthers suffered tough losses to No. 12 Colorado State and No. 24 Iowa State. Old Dominion, Wednesday s opponent, is currently ranked No. 27, meaning five of the Panthers 11 nonconference games will be against top 30 opponents. Georgia State was ranked No. 47 on Monday and have been as high as No. 41. HUNTER NAMED TO WOODEN AND NAISMITH LISTS Junior R.J. Hunter was named to the John R. Wooden Preseason Top 50 Watch List as announced by the Los Angeles Athletic Club on Nov. 17. He followed that up by being named to the Naismith Trophy Top 50. Both lists are comprised of 50 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for the sport s most prestigious honors. Hunter was an AP All-America honorable mention receipient last season, a finalist for the Lou Henson Award giving to the top mid-major player and recently named to the award s preseason watch list. SCORING RECORD IN JEOPARDY In just two seasons, junior R.J. Hunter put together two of the most impressive scoring output seasons in program history. During his sophomore season he reached the 1,000-point plateau in just 55 games, the second quickest in program history. This season he has his eyes set on Georgia State s all-time scoring record of 1,515 points held by Rodney Hamilton. Hunter is currently fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,317 points, meaning he is just 198 points shy of tying the mark. Last

Georgia State Men s Basketball Notes (page 4) season he scored 604 points, tied for the fourth most in a singleseason in program history. This season he has scored 186 points and leads the Sun Belt with a 23.3 points per game average. The junior was a part of a squad last year with four 1,000-point scorers, one of just three programs in the nation to state that fact in 2013-14. Hunter led the Panthers to a perfect 3-0 record away from home to earn Sun Belt Player-of-the-Week honors as announced by the conference office on Dec. 2. In the three games, Hunter played all but four minutes, averaging 27.7 points per game, shooting 27-of-55 from the floor, 49.1 percent. Hunter also knocked down eight 3-pointers and made 21-of-24 free throws (87.5 percent). He added eight assists and eight steals in the three games. The Panthers opened the week with wins over Western Carolina and Oakland at the CBE Hall of Fame Classic before heading to Indianapolis where Hunter returned home for the first time since attending Pike High School as GSU earned a 66-63 win over IUPUI. TOP RANKED PLAYER TIMES TWO Senior Ryan Harrow and junior R.J. Hunter were named to the Lou Henson Award Watch List as announced by CollegeInsider.com. The Panthers are one of just two teams in the country to have two players named to the preseason list. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the Division I Mid-Major Player of the Year. The award is named in honor of Henson who retired after a spectacular coaching career that lasted 41 years. A total of 40 players were named to the list this year. ELITE COMPANY Only six times in program history has a Panther averaged 20 or more points a game for the season. The last time it happened was when Thomas Terrell averaged 20.5 point per game during the 2001-02 season. R.J. Hunter is currently fifth in the NCAA with a 23.3 scoring average, while Ryan Harrow is not far behind, averaging 19.9 points per game which is 24th in the NCAA. The school-record is held by Ron Ricketts who averaged 21.1 points per game during the 1970-71 season. HOME SWEET HOME When coach Ron Hunter took over the Panthers, one of the first things he proclaimed was that the GSU Sports Arena would become one of the toughest places in the country. So far, he has been correct. The Panthers are 37-10 in the comfy confines of the Sports Arena. Georgia State went 13-0 at home last season and is 2-0 at home this season. The 15-straight home wins are tied for the ninth longest home court winning streak in the country with Eastern Michigan, BYU and Virginia. Duke has won 37 straight home games for the longest streak in the country. In his first season, Hunter s Panthers won 10-straight home games and finished the 2011-12 season 13-3 in the GSU Sports Arena. The Panthers followed with a 9-7 mark in 2012-13. Here are the longest home court winning streaks in school history: 25 2-24-00 to 12-12-02 *3rd-longest streak in nation at time 15 11-9-13 to present (13-0 during 2013-14 season) 10 11-18-11 to 1-23-12 (first 10 games of the regular season) 8 1-5-98 to 2-24-98 (last eight games of regular season) WHAT S IN A COLOR Georgia State has three different color jerseys this year, bringing back an alternate black jersey color that had not been worn in several years. W, at IUPUI AMONG THE BEST Before the season got underway, R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow were listed among the top 100 players in college basketball by several publications. It should be no surprise as both were named to the All-Sun Belt Preseason First-Team and Hunter was name the preseason player of the year. Here is a list and there ranking: Hunter Harrow ESPN 42 57 CBS 28 NR SB Nation 24 80 NBC Sports 30 81 FREE THROW KINGS When it comes to making free throws, Ryan Harrow and R.J. Hunter are two of the three best in school history. In two-plus seasons, Hunter has made 288 of 349 from the line, an 83.0 free throw percentage which ranks second in school history. Hunter shot a school-record 88.2 percent from the line last year which ranked No. 17 in the NCAA. Harrow has made 151 of 189 free throws and with an 79.9 free throw percentage, ranks eighth all-time in Georgia State history. His mark of 83.9 percent ranked 81st in the NCAA last season. These numbers are of no surprise as head coach Ron Hunter has preached free throw shooting since his arrival. Recent grads Manny Atkins (6th) and Devonta White (10th) are also among the top 10 in school history and played under Hunter. Last season, Akins made 82.4 percent from the line which ranked No. 119 in the nation while White made 80.6 percent which ranked No. 173.

Georgia State Men s Basketball Notes (page 5) QUICKEST TO 1,000 R.J. Hunter reached the 1,000-point plateau in just 55 games, the 2nd-quickest player to reach the accomplishment in Georgia State history. Here is a list of the quickest to get to 1,000-career points: 1. Phillip Luckydo... 49 games 2. R.J. Hunter...55 games 3. Chris Collier... 57 games 4. Thomas Terrell... 58 games Ryan Harrow averaged 17.8 points in 34 games last season. He has scored 159 points this year. At his current pace, he would reach 1,000 points in a Georgia State uniform in his 56th game, which would be the third quickest in school history. GOOD WORKS FOR HUNTER Georgia State junior R.J. Hunter was among the list of nominees for the 2015 Allstate NABC and WBCA Good Works Teams as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the Women s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Allstate Insurance Company. Hunter has been a part of two international trips in the last three years with Samaritan s Feet and also spent time doing community service in the Atlanta community. LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON...NOT SO FAST Coach Ron Hunter had a very good collegiate career, teaming up with five-time NBA champion and close friend Ron Harper to lead Miami (Ohio) to three NCAA tournament appearances. In his career, Hunter scored 600 points, a mark that son R.J. surpassed in just his sophomore season alone (604 points). With 1,317 career points, R.J. has trumped his dad, but Ron still owns the title of three NCAA tournament appearances. SAY WHAT! Many members of the media have been gushing over the Panthers Big 3 Backcourt of R.J. Hunter, Ryan Harrow and Kevin Ware. Here is what some of them said this offseason: Scott Gleason (USA Today): Georgia State can be one of, if not the best, mid-majors in the country, largely thanks to the return of Harrow and the addition of Ware. Interestingly, neither is the best player on the team. That would be R.J. Hunter, a 6-6 junior, the coach s son and an All-Sun Belt performer with NBA potential who averaged 18.3 points and 4.6 rebounds a game. Rob Dauster (NBC Sports): The Panthers back court is absolutely loaded. Ryan Harrow, R.J. Hunter and Kevin Ware are as talented as any group of guards that you ll find at the Division I level. There should be no drop-off from last season s team, the one that went 17-1 in Sun Belt play, particularly if Ron Hunter can find someone to help Curtis Washington on the interior. Reid Forgrave (Fox Sports 1): Ron Hunter s team might boast a top-five backcourt: his son, sharp-shooting NBA prospect R.J. Hunter, is joined by Ryan Harrow the Kentucky transfer who scored 17.8 points per game last season as well as former Louisville guard Kevin Ware, whose famous leg is now healthy. The Panthers ought to win the Sun Belt and could make a run in March, when good guard play dominates. 588 AND COUNTING Georgia State has made at least one 3-point field goal in 588 straight games, dating back to the 1994-95 season. The last team to hold the Panthers without a trey was Stetson on Feb. 18, 1995. FATHER & SON Ron and R.J. Hunter are actually the second father-son combo to grace the GSU Sports Arena. Bob Reinhart coached his son Bobby Reinhart from 1987-1989. Bobby led the team in assists during his senior season. Ron and R.J. are just one of nine pairs of father and son pairs in the NCAA this year. He currently plans to go barefoot on Jan. 15 against UT Arlington. Hunter always tries to schedule the game as close to the Martin Luther King Jr. observance day. The Panthers are 3-0 when Hunter has gone without socks and shoes to raise awareness for the 300 million children around the world without shoes. This year will mark the eighth straight year Hunter has gone barefoot for a game. As part of his work with Samaritan s Feet, Georgia State travelled to Costa Rica in August, doing a pair of shoe distributions during its eight-day road trip. SUMMER BASKETBALL IN COSTA RICA Georgia State traveled to Costa Rica in August to deliver shoes and hope to children in need, while also getting in some basketball practice and game action. The Panthers traveled to the Central American country for eight days this past August and played four games against club teams in the country of 4.7 million people. While there, the group also participated in several shoe distributions through Samaritan s Feet. It marked the second trip as a team under head coach Ron Hunter to work with the organization. Two years ago the Panthers went to South Africa. NEXT UP After Wednesday s trip to Norfolk, Va., Georgia State will return home to face Southern Miss in the Sports Arena on Sunday at 2 p.m. It will mark the third game of a four game home-andhome series between the two schools. It will also mark the Panthers final home non-conference game.

Georgia State Men s Basketball Notes (page 8) HEAD COACH RON HUNTER In just his first three seasons at the helm of the Georgia State program, Ron Hunter has restored it to national prominence, averaging more than 20 wins per year and making a pair of postseason appearances. In three years, Hunter has led the program to 62 wins, including two of the three best seasons in program history. The 2013-14 season was the most special, leading Georgia State to 25 wins, the second most in school history, a Sun Belt regular season championship and an appearance in the Postseason NIT, the Panthers fifth postseason appearance. During the season, the Panthers won a school-record 14-straight games, including a stretch of 22 of 23, as Hunter was named Sun Belt Coach of the Year and NABC Region 24 Coach of the Year. During his first season (2011-12), Georgia State won 22 games, the third most in school history, advancing to the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. Hunter has won 336 games in 20 seasons, but the accomplishments made by the 2011-12 team will always be special for him. After being named head coach on March 21, 2011, he built a squad that finished in the top 20 in the nation in scoring defense, defensive shooting percentage, steals and blocked shots, as six seniors finished their careers triumpently. Following the record-setting season, Hunter was named Atlanta Tip-off Club Georgia Coach of the Year, while his players earned a record-number of conference and national awards.
