Volume 12 No 1 Lincoln Hills Men s Golf Club January 2015 Check us out on the Web at www.lhmgc.org President s Report By Roger Oswald As we move from 2014 to 2015, I want to make sure we acknowledge the service to our club by some hard working people some who have stepped off the Board. When you see Gene Andrews, John Vass, Tony Dipaola, Dan Kramer, Carl Zierman and John Griggs, please give them a big thanks for their work on the Men s Club Board. As they served on the Board, they really served YOU. John and Tony did a fantastic job as Tournament Chair and Assistant Tournament Chair. Carl served in multiple capacities over the last four years, John has been our Handicap Chair and Dan Kramer served as Treasurer both for a number of years. Great job, gentlemen As we move into 2015, we welcome new Board members again, these are men who are serving you. Gene Andrews moves from President to serve as the Tournament Chair with Dick DiBiaso assisting him and Dave Jansen returns to the Board as our Handicap Chair. Roger Cumings comes on as Membership Chair (with myself moving to President), Phil Steinbeck is Treasurer and Jack Drinkard is Rules, with John Engelmann and Karl Williams switching roles in CVS and Communications. What a great crew. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact the person handling that area of responsibility. The Board really is committed to making membership in Lincoln Hills Men s Golf Club a quality experience. One point of clarification the LHMGC does NOT run the Tuesday Sweeps The Sweeps are run by the Lincoln Hills Golf Course. While we don t run it, please note that all sweeps scores are to be posted for handicap purposes. Check the Men s Club display case for more information. TO ALL WHO HAVE JOINED FOR THE FIRST TIME AND TO THOSE WHO HAVE RENEWED, WELCOME TO OUR CLUB.

4 CVS Report By Karl Williams The CVS registration is now full and we have 60 members. It looks like it is going to be a fantastic year. We have a few new players, along with some returning players this year. Our schedule looks good and there are some great golf courses to play. The CVS Schedule for 2015 follows: Sierra View...4/13 Timber Creek...4/27 Cameron Park...5/18 Lincoln Hills...6/1 El Macero.6/15 North Ridge..6/29 Valley Hi..7/13 Stockton 7/27 Rancho Murieta 8/10 Woodbridge..8/24 Yolo Fliers 9/28 Rain Day...10/12 It is my hope that we can play as many players that sign up for each tournament. Most of the tournaments have two shotgun starts one at 8:00 a.m. and one at 1:00 p.m., both include a great lunch.
5 Sunshine Alert By Bob Emge From time to time, someone in the Men s Golf Club or their spouse will have a serious illness or pass away. As head of the of the Sunshine Effort, I would like to be informed of these events so I can send the person or their family an appropriate card. Also, if the member agrees, this information will be publicized in our monthly Linksletter so all members will be aware. If you know of someone in this situation, please contact Bob Emge: 916-434-671
